Zwei besondere Tage bei der Tirolklang in Imst: viele interessante Gespräche, individuelle Mundstückanpassungen und außergewöhnliche Instrumente. Ein besonderes Highlight war die Ophikleide – auch für seltene und historische Blechblasinstrumente bieten wir passende Mundstücklösungen an. Vielen Dank an Hans-Georg Gutternigg und Nick Byrne!

Afternoon at the Muzička akademija Zagreb 🇭🇷
A focused session of hands-on testing, exchange, and discussion around mouthpiece design, sound concepts, and individual setup optimization.

From the exhibition of modular configurations to the talk on the Viennese horn, the emphasis remained clear: precision in response, clarity in sound, and finding solutions that truly fit the player.

The rim is probably one of the most personal parts of a mouthpiece. If the rim doesn't fit, the feel of the instrument is negatively affected, making it difficult to change positions or center the tone. Many musicians come to us and experience an artistic rebirth, as a well-fitting rim eliminates the fight against the mouthpiece.

A good mouthpiece adapts to the musician and not the other way around!

Der Rand ist wohl einer der persönlichsten Teile eines Mundstücks. Passt der Rand nicht ist das Spielgefühl negativ beeinflusst, wodurch es an Leichtigkeit in Lagenwechseln oder Tonzentrierung kommt. Viele Musiker kommen zu uns und erleben eine künstlerische Neugeburt, da man mit einem gut anpassten Rand den Kampf gegen das Mundstück beseitigt.

The ML-model shown in the picture is a larger version of the M-model of the horn rim range. The M-model represents the median of the WHF horn rims and was specifically designed for Michel Gasciarino to produce a beautiful, balanced sound. With a comfortable, rounded touchdown feel and ample contact surface, it offers excellent grip in all conditions. Although not a classic rim, the M model represents a solid, neutral option within the WHF horn rims and is often considered the perfect medium. It is often used as a starting point for mouthpiece fittings for new customers looking for balanced performance and versatility.
