Intriguing, mysterious, wonderfully atmospheric and filled with moments that had us questioning exactly what we had just witnessed. We had such a fantastic night.

Queen of Wands is stepping a little further into the shadows this week…

We love supporting the people who keep magick, mystery and a little bit of the unexplained alive in Adelaide — and this one was simply too delicious not to share with our Tribe!

𝐇𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃: An Evening with the Macabre is an intimate, interactive experience with Scottish storyteller and magician Kevin Kopfstein, Master of the Macabre, held within the atmospheric surrounds of The Lost Dice, Adelaide.

And this is no ordinary magick show...

Among Kevin’s collection of strange and eerie hauntiques are an 1800s vampire-hunting kit, a voodoo doll, a cemetery padlock and a haunted child’s doll… each carrying its own dark history, mystery and story.

Dark history meets storytelling, magick and the supernatural — all inside a venue that reportedly has a ghost of its own. 👻

Naturally, we thought some of you might like to go investigate. 😈

This one isn’t a Queen of Wands event… but when something this deliciously dark, strange and supernatural crosses our path, you know I’m going to tell the Tribe about it.

Every Thursday night, Master of the Macabre Kevin Kopfstein steps out of the shadows at The Lost Dice, Adelaide, bringing with him an eerie collection of supposedly haunted relics - or hauntiques - and the stories attached to them.

An 1800s vampire-hunting kit.
A voodoo doll steeped in dark history.
A cemetery padlock carrying secrets from the grave.
A haunted child’s doll whose innocent little face may not be quite so innocent after all…

🖤 Welcome to An Evening with the Macabre: 𝐇𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃.

Part dark history.
Part storytelling.

And because the haunted objects aren’t enough, The Lost Dice reportedly has a resident ghost of its own! 👻

The show runs every Thursday from 8–9pm, and you can simply come for the experience or make a night of it with a show + meal deal - burger or pizza, a drink, and access to more than 650 board games before the darkness descends.

Because ONE post was never going to be enough. 😂

Don comes home with approximately 47, 000 photos of the day, I sit down to write a "quick little post" about them... and three chapters, a spiritual awakening and a minor autobiography later… here we are.

PART TWO.

We’ve packed everything away, recovered from the early morning, survived the pack-down, and yet somehow we’re STILL riding the high of what was an absolutely incredible day.

These fairs have become so much more than somewhere you come for a reading or buy a crystal.

They’re a meeting place.
A community.
A family.
A wonderfully weird, wildly magickal Soul Tribe.

And Elizabeth… yesterday you reminded us exactly why we love doing this so much.

WOW.

We are still trying to take it all in.

From the moment the doors opened at Uley Road Hall yesterday until the moment they closed, YOU JUST KEPT COMING.

And coming.

And staying. 😂

The hall was buzzing ALL. DAY. LONG. 💫

So many familiar faces. So many of our beautiful regulars who follow us from fair to fair, month after month. Our Soul Tribe. The people we get genuinely excited to see, hug, laugh with, catch up with and ask, “Okay… what’s happened since LAST time?!” 😂

We cannot tell you how much your continued support means to us.

And then there were SO MANY NEW FACES.

New people walking through our doors for the very first time, discovering our readers, healers, creators and beautiful little community - and becoming brand-new members of this wonderfully weird & magickal Soul Tribe of ours.

That is pretty damn special. 🤍

And can we talk about THE WEATHER?!

Because Mother Nature clearly received the memo. 😂

After a weather forecast that had us preparing for rain, wind, thunderstorms & possibly the apocalypse… somehow we were gifted an absolutely beautiful day.

No rain until around 2–2:30pm.
No thunderstorm.
And a whole lot more sunshine than anyone ordered.

We genuinely could not have asked for a better outcome.

So, thank you to Mother Nature.
Thank you to the Universe.
And THANK YOU to every single one of you who looked at that forecast, grabbed your coat anyway and said…

“Stuff it. We’re going to the Psychic Fair.” 😂🔮

We also had so many previous stallholders pop in just to say hello yesterday, and that meant the absolute world to us. Once you’ve been part of this crazy little Queen of Wands family, apparently there’s no escaping us. 🤍😂

And to our NEW stallholders — welcome to the family. We absolutely loved having you.

There is something incredibly special about being able to do this every month. To bring together people from all walks of life, create a space where everyone can simply be themselves, and watch friendships, connections & community grow around us.

We know how blessed we are to get to do this.

And Elizabeth… knowing just how much we were missed during our year away has left us HUNGRY FOR MORE.

So yes.

WE’RE COMING BACK. 🔥

Yes, there is rain forecast.
Yes, we are an 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐎𝐑 market. 🙌

The huge majority of our 60 incredible stallholders will be cosy & dry inside Uley Road Hall, surrounded by readers, healers, crystals, witchy wares, handmade treasures and all the Queen of Wands goodness you know and love.

BUT… we also have our brave outdoor market crew who are planning to rug up, batten down the hatches and trade on! 💪☔️

And really… what’s a little rain between witches? 🔮

Rain has long been a symbol of cleansing, renewal and washing away old energy to make way for the new. So perhaps tomorrow isn’t bringing us bad weather at all… perhaps the Universe is just giving Elizabeth one good energetic cleanse before we arrive. 😂☔️✨
