This Tuesday KESAB environmental solutions are bringing their sustainability tours past our little eco shop! The last tour in our Hutt Street location before we move on to Plant 3 Bowden!

These tours are a fantastic way to see the recycling options available to us here and what is taking place in Adelaide as well as what you can do to reduce your environmental impact. In our case, we help you turn it in to a positive solution!

Sustainability is built into life at Bowden, and sometimes the easiest way to make a difference is knowing where to take those hard-to-recycle items.

Did you know the nearby Hindmarsh Library hosts a recycling collection point for a range of items that can't go in your household recycling bin?

Everything from old X-rays and unwanted spectacles to printer cartridges, oral care products, cosmetics and electronic waste can be diverted from landfill and given a second life through specialist recycling and reuse programs.

X-rays are processed to recover valuable silver, glasses are repaired and donated to those in need, and electronic items are responsibly recycled through dedicated e-waste providers.

It's a simple way to reduce waste, support charitable initiatives and help keep valuable materials in circulation. Next time you're having a clear out, consider whether your unwanted items could be recycled rather than thrown away.

Bowden holds the highest concentration of 6 Star Green Star homes in Australia. But what does that actually mean in practice?

It means households generating CO2 savings equivalent to planting 120 trees per year. It means water savings across the community that equate to several Olympic-sized swimming pools annually. And it means waste reduction initiatives diverting the equivalent of more than 100 trucks from landfill every year.

Sustainability at Bowden is not a feature. It is a standard every building is held to, without exception.

🌱 WE’RE MOVING ! 🙌🏼

Your favourite little eco store is relocating to the Sustainable Community of Plant 3 Bowden !

But don’t worry.. we still have a few more weeks of trading in our Hutt Street premises before opening mid July, 2026!

Our little eco store is a hub for small businesses and likeminded eco conscious brands who champion waste repurposing, impactful gifting and sustainable everyday products. The move to the Bowden precinct could not be more exciting to us and we know we will fit right in.

The support we have received to date has been incredible from our regulars and those excited to share our journey and continue their eco lifestyles with us.

Thank you to you all and if you have not visited Plant 4 Bowden or Plant 3 Bowden in Bowden, you absolutely must! It is a haven filled with healthy food options from brunching to knock off wines, groceries, markets, fashion, plants and plenty of events such as outdoor family movie nights, dog friendly events ,quiz nights or even social salsa dancing!

We can not wait to join.

💛💙🎗️Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting the annual Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser for the Australian Environmental Auditors for the 3rd year in a row with attendees from all over Australia.

Every year we get to share our space with people who are passionate about our environment and how we can care for it through our lifestyles and livelihoods and the latest with what we have been achieving in our little corner. This year we where able to share the launch of our bio furniture collection through our new in house brand made from bio resin and local waste streams.

Not only that but they so selflessly donated to the cause that their goal of raising $3000 was easily smashed by the end of the event with more donations filtering through.

These events are what it is all about.
Sharing, connecting and caring. 🫂
