Futurae’s Creative Director, April Whittam, attended the Sydney Jewellery Fairs Australia over the weekend to explore the ideas, innovations and emerging directions shaping fine jewellery.

What caught her attention?

Graduated tennis necklaces (her words …”obsessed”. Fancy-coloured lab-grown diamonds. Sri Lankan sapphires as inspiration with lab diamonds. A new era of signet rings. Diamonds paired with contemporary chains - and new possibilities for the Futurae unboxing experience.

We also connected with Australian gold suppliers offering net-zero emissions options, an exciting development as we continue to consider every element of how our jewellery is created.

Some ideas will remain inspiration. Others are already making their way onto the Futurae design table.
