Our full carbon fibre wheels come with everything you'll need to get riding fast with no fuss or missing pieces. Wheels include FREE valve extenders with Teflon sealant (to avoid nasty valve leaks), FREE ceramic composite brake pads, FREE rim tape & FREE lightweight titanium skewers. THE RIDE

Caden wheels are meticulously hand spoked with elbow out wide flange placement on the front and 2 to 1 spoke ratio on the rear to make sure your wheel corners correctly, accelerates without lag & doesn't make noise. I'm 6ft 4inches 95kg and build the wheels to withstand riding pressures above the norm so you can enjoy them for years to come. All our wheels undergo rigorous testing and we stand by them with a 3 year warranty plus a generous crash replacement policy (that we hope you'll never have to use but hey happens and if it does we'll look after you). SERVICEABILITY

External nipples, sealed bearings & true tension spoke patterns make Caden's long lasting and very easy to maintain. Our subtle stealth logos are hand printed in house with a 2 pack epoxy ink that doesn't come off unlike stickers that can flap after a few races. For our last wheel print we used less than 10 grams of ink for 40 wheels compared to a single sticker weighing between 1-2 grams.

How do the 55mm vs 65mm steel spoke wheelsets compare and does a 1cm makes a real difference ?

On paper the 65s tested 1 aero watt faster than the 55s. It doesn’t matter if you choose to run a 28mm or 30mm tyre on the front.

On average the 55s weigh 1265g and the 65s weigh 1330g.

The general feedback from test riders indicates the 65s feel planted in cross winds but the 55s remain easier to handle which coincides with the Yaw and Roll moment results.

Both are built with internal ni***es on the front wheel and external on the rear. Both are built with 18 spokes on the front and 21 spokes on the rear.

We offer two different graphic designs.

Only the new 55mm and 65mm rims come laser etched with a gloss finish which saves you roughly 15g of paint per wheel.

The other rims have water slide graphics under a matte finish.

The main thing about the matte gun metal deCADENce logo are the water slide graphics on the ni**le holes. Each one of these needs to be put on one by one. It highlights the ni**le patching design benefit in a subtle way.

The new laser etched technique has been tested and perfected over the last 3 years as early iterations would burn the resin and cause carbon deamination around the graphics.

This process is now perfected and allows you more complex graphics on the wheel.
Long gone are the days of painting these wheels late at night in the Rose Bay garage.

Next objective now is to test surface finishes and their impact on the Reynolds number.

How do the 85mm Tri Spoke and 105mm steel spoke front wheels compare ?
The Tri Spoke tested at 61.22 aero Watts and the 105mm wheel came at 60.51.

They both have similar handling characteristics.

They however differ in course selection as the Tri Spoke is preferred for undulating terrains whereas the 105 is chosen for flat Time Trials or Triathlon courses.

Rider feedback indicates the 105 feels planted but our lighter riders still preferred the 85mm Tri spoke as it catches less wind.

15 years of continuous re-designs, constant plotting, trial error and the occasional stick beating to get the best out of these hubs.

They both use 3D Forged T7075 heat treated Alloy, used across various industries for light weight and its strength properties.

The new iteration of front and rear hubs come at 70g & 172g for straight pull steel spokes and 56g & 158g for carbon spokes.

We capture carbon spokes in the hub fl**ge for extra safety as to avoid catastrophic failures due to all spokes popping out.

Both versions use a 36T dual floating ratchet.

The steel spoke version comes in 18h and 21h with a 2:1 lacing pattern.

The carbon spoke version comes in 16h and 18h with a 1:1 lacing pattern on the front and 2:1 on the rear where it matters the most.

The 105mm deep rim has finally landed.

It measures 37.3mm at the widest point on the rim and 25mm internally which makes it a great platform for 28 or 30mm tyres.

Tested in the wind tunnel last December it proved to be a quick hoop at 62.37 aero watts (adjusted for wind weighting). In comparison our 65mm steel spoke wheelset came in at 68.8 aero watts. Both were tested with a 28mm tyre on the front.

Its large surface area makes it harder to hold in gusty conditions but still feels planted in crosswinds. Data and rider feed-back confirms, it’s demanding but predictable.

You can use a presta disc wheel adapter, or a normal pump head with the valve tilted outwards the wheel.
