It's a shampoo bar making kind of day.💚
A customer at the markets last weekend asked me why my shampoo bars work so much better than others she'd tried before. It was such a lovely compliment.💚
One of the biggest differences is that many shampoo bars on the market are actually soap bars.
If you look at an ingredient list and see oils listed first, or you see words like saponified oils, Iye, or sodium hydroxide, that usually means it's technically a soap
— not a true shampoo formulation.
My shampoo bars are different. They're essentially a bottle of shampoo without the 90% water content. Just concentrated shampoo in a solid bar.
They're also incredibly precise to make. Proper shampoo bars are very finicky formulations, and even tiny measurement changes can throw the balance off completely. Every batch is weighed on professional scales that measure down to fractions of a gram. I also use very gentle surfactants often used in baby products for a creamy, gentle cleanse that doesn't leave the hair feeling stripped or waxy.
Every bar also contains vitamin B5 (panthenol), which helps support softness, shine, and manageability.
Beautiful naturally-derived ingredients, careful formulation, and small batch production do cost more - but creating something that genuinely works beautifully for people is always my goal.
