We handed back the keys today, but last night, before Alex and I locked the door behind us for what was likely the last time, I took this photo. I took a breath (shed a tear 🥹) and paused to remember all that had transpired in this place. I feel so grateful for it all.
We all grew a little older and wiser. We felt loved. We felt appreciated. It felt like home.
Woven through it all was my family - Alex, Em, Lokki, and Grace, and my wonderful friends, (some of which were customers first) you all know who you are! All of your hands, hearts, hope and prayers helped make this dream possible.
And our staff - our beautiful staff - who carried joy, kindness, and grace into every moment, shaping this space into something far more than walls and tables.
It was a beautiful place to share. It was a beautiful place to make memories.
Thank you for joining us.
But most of all, thank You, Lord, for being in it all. Whether they knew it or not, it was Your spirit of Grace in this place that truly made it what it was, and I am forever grateful that I got to run this little Tea Room in Blackwood.
