In my very recent past life I was a diesel fitter for 15 years in the Bowen Basin coal mining industry.
Last year my amazing partner and I finally found our little slice of heaven on 6 acres in Bloomsbury and got to work.
I decided to hang my tools up and go full time on the farm and launch my passions and love for my cacti, chickens, projects and hard work to create a more grounded, wholesome, fulfilling life.
I loved being a diesel fitter and the skills and gratification I got in return from doing my trade is incredibly rewarding....but our bodies can only handle so much heavy and unnatural abuse before they start sending out alarm bells...so I listened before it was too late.
My upbringing with a strong and supportive single mum paired with my trade and being a Leo 🤭 has shaped me to be a strong, stubborn and independent woman.
It has allowed to me carry on all my skill set, knowledge and expierence to maintain the farm, run my business, problem solve 99% of issues and situations that arise here and get things done 💪
Whilst my partner is away working full time, my job is staying on top of the property maintenance, looking after all the animals, tackling projects, gardens, ordering, picking up, processing and unloading all the freight and stock, service and repair our own vehicles and equipment on the farm and Matty spends every moment of his days off work doing all of this with me as well 💜🙌
We love what we do and what we have built here and I receive so much satisfaction and happiness sharing this with you all and those that come and visit us here at the farm 🫶
