Nrglife Home Fragrances

Nrglife Home Fragrances Hand-poured in Queensland. 100% soy & coconut blend. No paraffin. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. Nrglife since 2020. 🌿 No outsourcing to China. That hasn't changed.

Every product made by me — candles, room sprays, diffusers & body care. I hand-pour every Nrglife product in my home workshop in Beachmere, Queensland — candles, room and linen sprays, reed diffusers, wax melts, and body care — using a 100% pure soy and coconut blend, eco bases. No shortcuts on the formula. "The truth about what is actually in Australian candles — no brand is educating customers a

bout the fact that there is no legal soy percentage standard in Australia, and misleading blends are common" I use the full blend of 95% soy & coconut, every time — plus a 5% vegetable-based hardener to handle Queensland's summers. Every product is batch tested before it goes anywhere near a customer, properly labelled, and packed by me. I started Nrglife in 2020 with one belief: what we bring into our homes should work in harmony with the earth, not against it. If you want home fragrance that actually does what it says — neutralises odours rather than just masking them, burns correctly, and lasts — you're in the right place. Nrglife since 2020. The smallest layer with the biggest impact? A room spray by the front door. 🚪

One spritz up the hallway before anyone arrives, and your whole home greets them before you do.

That's scent layering — using more than one format together so your home has depth, not one flat note. There's genuinely no wrong way to do it. Match your scents room to room, or contrast them. Both are correct.

I've written the full guide (and how to pick what's right for your home) on the blog. Link in comments.

Have you every wondered how long you should do your first burn. It can be difficult to work out as there are so many variations and size of candles. Here's my Tip from the Workbench: Measure the top circumference of your candle in inches and for every inch, you burn the candle for one hour. So for example my Lush Musk Signature Candle (see photo) is 3 inches wide, so the first burn should be for 3 hours.

There's no wrong or right way to layer scent in your home.🌺
Layering just means using more than one format together together — a candle in the living room, a Reed Diffuser in the hall, a Room Spray for a quick reset before guests arrive. It gives your home depth instead of one flat note.

It comes down to two things:
→ Suitability (match the format to the room)
→ Personal style (match your scents, or contrast them — both are right)

That's it. No rulebook. Just your home, your way.

100% essential oil" sounds pure. But here's what no one in my industry will tell you 👇
Natural tells you where a scent came from — not whether it's safe. Many popular essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender & citrus) are toxic to cats and dogs, even diffused.
And in a candle? Essential oils burn off before they ever fill your room — that gorgeous scent disappears up the flame.

I wrote the honest version on the blog. Link in comments.

Just like Annette, who has ordered two of our Candle Sample Packs. She is being smart by purchasing and trying before she buys. Here's the deal: Your $15 sample pack pays for itself if you fall in love. Order a full-size Natural candle within 30 days of receiving your samples and your $15 is credited back off the full-size candle. I'll email you a personal one-time code (valid 30 days) a few days after your sample pack arrives — so you only pay full price for a scent your body has already said yes to. If you want to see how this can work for you read our 9 Scent Guide (link in comments).

It takes around 600 pounds of rose petals to make ONE ounce of rose oil. 🌹

Sandalwood? Harvested close to extinction.

So when a candle promises "pure essential oil" sandalwood at a normal price… something doesn't add up. Either it's barely there, or a forest paid for it.

The real eco story is the opposite of what most people think — and I break the whole thing down on the blog. Link in comments.

That beautiful dried-flower candle? I wouldn’t burn it near my kids — and here’s why. 🔥
As the candle melts, the top becomes a pool of hot liquid wax. Petals, twigs and paper drift toward the flame, catch, and embers can lift onto a nearby curtain or cushion. It happens fast. It’s genuinely one of the ways house fires start — and it’s why my own candle insurance won’t cover dried flowers at all.
Love the look? Lift the decorations off before you burn it, then set them back on once the wax has re-set. Beautiful and safe. 🤍
Did you know dried flowers were a fire risk? Be honest — 👇

Can we retire the word "triple-scented"?
It's not three scents. It's not three times stronger. It's simply a candle made with the maximum fragrance the wax can safely hold — dressed up to sound like a feature. Ask about the fragrance load instead, and ask what the wax is. (Mine’s a coconut-soy blend, always.)
What other candle buzzwords should we bust next? 👇
P.S. There are a few more myths in my full safety guide — link in the comments.

I’ve been hand-pouring candles since 2020, and lately something’s been keeping me up at night. 🕯️
Every other week, someone new pops up at a market or online selling candles — and some of the stories my customers tell me are enough to make your stomach drop.
A family near Bribie told me a gel candle they’d bought at a market allegedly exploded in the husband’s hand. Third-degree burns. Another trend that worries me: candles with dried flowers set on top — beautiful, but as the wax melts those petals can drift to the flame and catch. (It’s the reason my own insurance won’t cover them.)
Here’s the thing — in Australia, candle-making is barely regulated. So until the rules catch up, the best protection is a few good questions. I’ve put the whole checklist in the carousel → swipe through and save the last slide for next time you’re shopping.
And please, retire the “triple-scented” myth with me. There’s no such thing — it’s just the maximum fragrance load, dressed up as science. 😉
Everything I make is hand-poured here in Queensland from a coconut-soy blend, with a Care Card in every order, because the things we bring into our homes should bring us balance — not put us at risk.
Take care always, Raquel x
