Japanese craftsmanship, made to wear.
🌸 Mino-yaki × Handmade Jewellery 🌸
Each piece of jewellery I create begins with a tiny piece of Japanese ceramic.
Mino-yaki (美濃焼) is a traditional Japanese ceramic ware from Gifu Prefecture, an area with a long and rich history of pottery making. Mino-yaki is known for its incredible variety of colours, shapes, textures and techniques — there isn’t just one “look” to it.
I fell in love with these beautiful ceramic tiles and wanted to turn them into something you could enjoy beyond the tableware they were originally made for.
So I carefully select each tile and combine it with delicate chains, beads and charms to create unique pieces of jewellery — all handmade by me in Australia. 🇦🇺
Because each ceramic piece is made and fired individually, subtle differences in colour, texture and pattern can occur.
That means every piece has its own little character, and no two pieces are ever exactly the same. ✨
