A couple of weeks ago I woke up with an urge to make food-shaped magnets out of polymer clay… one bar of sculpey and one night home alone later, here they are 🥐 now residing on our fridge, proudly holding up a print of Cher ✨

Over the last week in my spare moments, I’ve been chipping away at painting these two little friends - Huckle Cat and Lowly Worm (created by Richard Scarry) I grew up reading Mum’s copies of his books 🐱🪱

I’ve had a flu lately and today I brightened up enough for a quick paint in my sketchbook… a lil (dramatic) self portrait of what the last few days have looked like 🤧

(I showed Brock this picture and he said ‘hey! That’s what our bedroom looks like at the moment!’ Which prompted me to finally pick up my mountain of tissues)

I haven’t been on Instagram (or any social media really!) a fair bit lately - Christmas craziness and all! - but here’s a few Christmas cards I whipped up over the silly season that I forgot to post 🎨

I grew up utterly obsessed with Enid Blyton’s Enchanted Wood (and the faraway tree, of course!) and painted my own little version of it last weekend 🌲 how fun would it be to live in one huge tree with all your loved ones?!

And here they are all together, a week later ☺️ Peachtober was great fun (if a bit stressful toward the end - moving house and trying to paint each day was certainly a challenge!) and I am so glad I managed to do it. I missed just one day (I was taken down by a particularly nasty flu), and I learned so much over the month. I love the Peachtober community and the support I’ve seen, both toward me and other artists. I’ll definitely be back to give it another go next year a bit for now, a few dozen cups of tea and a fair bit of brush washing is in order 🫡🎨

Peachtober day 31: spooky 👻 there’s always one house on the street a little spookier than the others!
I am completely knackered today so will do a more comprehensive post tomorrow, but that marks the end of and, as promised last week, I will be sleeping incredibly soundly tonight 😴
