~ Ch*****ne & Gumboots FAQ ~
Ch*****ne & Gumboots is Perth's best 100% gluten free & Coeliac Australia Accredited spots! We are a Cake Boutique (not a cafe or restaurant), so we don't have menu. Just a cabinet full of delicious gluten free goodies that changes week to week. From toasted bagels to profiteroles, swiss rolls, a selection of cupcake and macaron flavours and more. Perfect for that light lunch, easy get together or morning/afternoon tea.

🕦 When are we open?
Tuesday to Sunday.
Tues, Wed, Thur 10am - 3pm
10am - 4pm Friday, Sat & Sunday.
📍 Where are we located?
At the back of our building - 660 Great Northern Hwy. In the heart of the Swan Valley! You know where Mondo Nougat is? Just down the road from there.
Do we offer other dietary requirements?
🧁 Absolutely. We have 1 vegan cupcake flavour every week and a few other dairy free or vegan options including a toasted bagel too. As it's not our primary focus, we don't have heaps of options, but you'll definitely be catered for.
Are you Wheelchair friendly?
🛞 Yes indeed. We have ramps at both the front and the back of the building with no lip/ledge to get into the store. We are a small store but if you make a booking and mention wheelchair or other access notes we'll place you closer to the front where there's more space. Our bathroom is accessible too with the mirror placed at just the right height for everyone 😉
Why don't you have a menu?
📗 We aren't a cafe. Our business is cake! While we like to have options for everyone, we actually don't have the food licence or building setup (ie. a grease trap) to offer a lot of the things people love..... like hot chips. There's lots of great GF options in the Valley for dine in restaurant style food, just ask us! Then be sure to swing by us for coffee and cake.
Do we need to make a booking?
🧑🏻🍳 Yes we recommend it. We have peak and slow seasons that are opposite to a lot of Perth. March - August primarily. But if you want to ensure you can sit inside (in our small dining area) we recommend you book online! It's super easy. Especially as we are a small store (no we can't add more chairs, Aus building code regs we have to comply with). So to ensure you don't miss out, chuck a reservation at us.
Can we hire the store for events?
🎉 As we're a small store we can only accomodate 25 people total... but that includes staff too! So max I would say is 20-21 guests. You can book us though, anything over 10 guests however does incur a hire fee. Please pop us an email to discuss ([email protected]
Do you have a bathroom or baby change facility?
🍼 Yes and yes. Our bathroom is for our guests only and will be soon moving to a locked/ask for the key bathroom setup due to some issues we've had more recently. It is disable friendly and has a change table readily available. You're also most welcome to breastfeed in store, our big yellow comfy chairs at the back are great for this!
Do you do events?
🔥Hell yes we do! We always have something on the go here at C&G. From baking workshops, to Devonshire tea days, cupcake decorating, kids high teas, workshops that have absolutely nothing to do with cake! Check out the What's On page on our website for more details and bookings.
