Just finished the sweetest wedding request!

The mother of the bride asked me to take part of her own wedding dress and turn it into a ribbon for her daughter’s bridal bouquet. I added the couple’s initials and their wedding date with embroidery.

These sentimental pieces are my absolute favourite to work on. I feel so honoured every time someone trusts me with something that means so much to their family.

Been working on this since early 2022 when Brad started chemo. Finished the last bit on sewing retreat Feb 2026.

Today’s adventure was a bit different.

Home visit to patch a beloved couch. (Incident with a magnifying glass left in the wrong spot!).

Thankfully the owner had a cover for the arm in the exact fabric. I managed to find a bit that matched the pattern exactly.

I am no upholsterer - but I reckon I did ok! 👌🏻
