Polyphonic Electronic. A new sculpture/ light/ music collaboration between David Kenworthy and Nina Van Dyke.

Brighter than the night sky, more colourful than a rainbow and featuring the deepest of ‘deep house’ dance music, Polyphonic Electronic is the new collaboration between sculpture/ light artist David Kenworthy and the live electronic music mixes DJ Nina Van Dyke. This new collaboration features 50 of David’s brand new self illuminating children’s toys that with the help of internal LED lights have

been transformed from simple and unassuming plastic commodities into radiant artworks that have now become psychedelic pop art relics of lost childhood and creative salvation. Nina Van Dyke creates the most euphoric, uplifting and seamless mixes of the latest electronic dance music from all over the world. Together they will create one of the most beautiful, inspiring and unforgettable audio/ visual experiences of the year. Bringing these two pioneers of electronic culture here together has not been an easy task with both David and Nina very busy with their respective careers. Initial discussions began over a year ago about getting together and using their various talents to make something new and totally unique. Something that would be suitable for the increasing number of ‘free’ to the public festivals and also the various visual arts and music festivals that happening all over Australia. David wants to bring high quality contemporary art experiences out of the galleries and into suburbia and Nina wants to share her love of electronic dance music (deep house in particular) by playing it outside of it's perceived club environment and exposing it to a more general audience to appreciate. The installation can be set up in both indoor/ outdoor spaces, architectural and natural environments as well. It will appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds and is family friendly. For many children this will be their first serious visual arts and musical experience and its David and Nina’s intention to provide them with a fun, positive, playful and engaging experience. For more information or if you would like to make a booking please contact David and Nina by their pages or you can contact David on [email protected]
