🕹️Manual transmissions are making a comeback, with sales on the rise. Last year, 1.7 percent of cars sold were manuals, up from 0.9 percent in 2021. Subaru confirmed that 83 percent of WRXs sold in the U.S. this year had a six-speed manual, an increase from 79 percent in 2023. 🔥
The WRX leads in manual take rates, followed closely by the BRZ, Mazda MX-5 Miata, and John Cooper Works Mini. While manuals are becoming rarer in commuter cars, performance models from brands like Subaru, BMW, and Toyota are keeping them alive.
