ZigoZago Artisan Wool ZigoZago Artisan Wool I am passionate about beautiful, hand-dyed yarn. It's as simple as that. The other half is knitting a soft and drapey garment.

To me, finding just the perfect skein for my project is half the fun. I get exited talking about yarns and patterns, and infect others with my passion. I can spend hours dreaming up new projects and always, always have 3 projects on the go....

Get Repost App • She's Crafty || Not every knitting group has that friend who makes the complex simple, quietly and calmly sharing her expertise to give you the confidence to do it yourself. So, we have borrowed Anne to teach a small workshop for brioche knitting in the round.

Anne’s a long-time knitter and long-time go-to expert of her knitting group. She loves the technical aspect of knitting and techniques that make some of us shy away. And what’s even better than being brilliant on your own, is being able to share that knowledge and enrich the lives of your knitting friends - old and new.

Unlike the bread, this brioche is naturally gluten free and can be made into the squishiest of garments. Bring one or two colours of worsted weight yarn and a pair of circular needles. Your small group will cast on together, and eventually find the rhythm of brioche as soothing as the average ribbing, rather than as nerve-wracking as a coeliac trying to find a decent pastry. Your sample can be made into a cowl or beanie - with the help of a free pattern courtesy of Anne.

All our workshops run at Common Good on Forest Street, Castlemaine - a short walk to the town hall, in the vicinity of some very tasty glutenous pastries and coffee if you’re a fan of the other kind of brioche. This one’s in the morning and gives you a few hours spare to check out the market in the afternoon.
