Bolwell-An Australian Icon, was the first publication to visit Bolwell's Thailand Factory (several times) and report on the remarkable manufacturing transformation that was taking place there - which has enabled Bolwell to export world-class products globally, to the point where it has risen from near-obscurity to the World's FOURTH largest Composites Manufacturer. When we first visited, the Factory housed about 12 workers - today the plant size has quadrupled and the employees have grown to nearly 400 (with another 150 in the Australian base in Seaford, Victoria).

CLASSIC racing Bolwell Nagari (Mk8) raced by Barry Main to Victorian State Sportscar Championships.. This photo in Ian Smith's Coventry Street Melbourne Studios. Ian recorded most of the early Bolwell History... from factory,... to road ... to racetrack... capturing the essence of the marque with an amazing depth and quality. Ian also photographed and assisted on Road and Track Tests conducted by the co-author of the Book, Rob Luck, who was then Editor of Sports Car World, Wheels and Motor at different times. NAGARI interest is increasing with the uptick in Aussie high performance Car Auction results - GTHO, Monaro, Pacer etc. With some of these cars approaching and exceeding the million dollar mark, enthusiasts are starting to ask why the Nagari Convertible which is much rarer (only 13 built) and with superior performance remains so 'cheap'.
