A powerful example of what opportunity can unlock
Valentina, a talented knitter from Peru, creates the luxurious alpaca scarves and beanies loved by Earthica customers. Through her work — and her leadership roles within her local association — she has developed many skills and built an independent income to support her family.
Valentina didn’t finish school herself, but today her earnings have allowed her 17-year-old son to complete high school — creating opportunities she never had.
Her story reminds us that when women are given equal access to opportunity, the impact extends far beyond one individual — it strengthens families, builds communities and creates lasting change.
