After living in the area for over 20 years, it took a lockdown to discover this magical place. Hillsides covered in forget- me- nots, hawthorn trees in full bloom, filling the air with a beautiful scent. The river flowing beside the path, yellow blooms everywhere. I’m marking the date in my calendar, to experience it all again next year.

Goethe knew what he was talking about when he said: ‘Nothing is worth more than this day. You cannot relive yesterday. Tomorrow is still beyond your reach.’ Don’t let this day pass you by while focusing on the problems of the past or the dreams of the future. Don’t be consumed by what was. Take a deep breath and let it go. Make plans and set goals for the future, but don’t forget to enjoy the journey each and every day. Open your eyes and take it all in!
