Hi, I’m Dominika - the author behind Vivi and Oki 🤍
When my children were babies, I was encouraged by my midwife and childcare nurses to read from birth.
But I often found that many books were too long, too busy, or focused on words that weren’t yet meaningful for the very youngest readers.
What held my children’s attention most were simple, familiar sounds.
YUM when food arrived.
SHHH when it was time to rest.
Vivi and Oki was created with the youngest listeners in mind, those early months that are so often overlooked.
A gentle, sound-based board book inspired by early communication and speech-supporting principles - before words come.
