Nature play has been at the heart of Our Earth Life for seven years. 🌿

Before the specimens, tools and all the ideas that followed, there was a simple hope: to create prompts that help families step outside, connect with their kids and notice more of the natural world around them.

And honestly? That’s still where our heart lies.

It’s the same heart that created our Wild Club merit pin program—giving kids little sparks of inspiration to explore, learn, try something new and feel proud of the wild skills they’re building along the way.

And very soon, there’ll be a brand-new way to bring a little more of that connection, curiosity and adventure into your family’s days… 👀🌿

A newbie is coming, and this one feels especially close to our roots.

Our free, interactive Find Your Nature Play Community map is officially here — created to help families discover nature play groups, forest schools and wild homeschool communities across Australia and New Zealand.

We hope this map continues to grow, supporting the incredible people creating these spaces and helping more families find connection, community and their people. 🫶

We’re building something new 🌿 so we’re calling all nature play groups, forest schools, and wild homeschooling communities across Australia and New Zealand!

It can be hard to find your people. So we’re creating a completely free Find Your Community guide to help families discover welcoming spaces where their children (and selves!) can connect with nature, and each other.

Whether you gather for muddy adventures regularly, run a bush kinder, or nature-based learning sessions, we’d love to include your group.

There’s no cost to be listed, and no cost to access the interactive guide. It’s simply about making these beautiful communities easier to find.

We spend a lot of time trying to think about how to help our kids feel calmer, more connected, and more present… and as I sat and watched my kids today, happily playing in a puddle for 25 minutes, I realised the answer is surprisingly simple.

Nature.

Nature has this beautiful way of helping children reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the world around them. It has no agenda, no pressure, and no measure of success.

It simply invites them to slow down and just be completely present.

And you know what… maybe that’s a little of what we need to help calm our nervous systems as well, and to reconnect?
