ISRAEL UPDATE MAY 2024

Dear Friends,
As I write the Jewish people are again under assault by the Palestinians, not because the Palestinians want a homeland, but because they seek to destroy the Jewish state; a fact they have asserted time and time again in their charters and now, as we have heard on the streets and college campuses of the USA and all over the world, as the cry out, “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free.” In fact, this battle for the survival of Israel, and indeed the Jewish people, has widened out at all levels in that it is being waged through the agency of the European Union, other nation states of the world, the United Nations and across America. At every level the battle to liquidate Israel is being embraced and acted upon by people everywhere. In Israel the Palestinians launched a savage, brutal and barbaric attack against Israelis on October the 7th 2023, and subsequently they are attacking Jews everywhere all spurred on by the false claim that Israel is oppressing the Palestinians and seeking to change the status quo on the Temple Mount, which is just not true. Given that this is a fragile and very sensitive issue Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, Hezbollah and their fellow travelers, all inspired by Iran, have led the charge in this false claim and have thereby urged their followers to attack and kill Jews wherever they can find them. This they now admit to openly and without any shame.
The Real Issue
At the root of this issue is Islamic theology that teaches that a piece of land that once came under the dominion of Islam can never return to the Infidel, meaning Christian or Jew. Consequently, the emergence of the State of Israel in 1948, on land that once belonged to Islam for hundreds of years ,was deemed a Great Nakba or great disaster for Islam. When this happens a charge of apostasy is laid by Allah against, and over, the House of Islam. Consequently, to remove this charge of disgrace the Muslims all over the world have called for jihad in order to rise up and destroy Israel. It is this reality that is now playing itself out in the conflict over the land of Israel. So then, this battle is in every way a religious one, but you will never hear our so-called leaders acknowledging this even though the Palestinians serve under the Mullahs of Iran and the names of their fighting brigades are all openly Islamic i.e. Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, meaning the army of Allah, and Hamas meaning Harakat al-Muqawama al- Islamiya (Palestinian Sunni Islamist political and military movement). Need I say more?
The world of course is largely silent and ignorant of these things but, if it does have anything to say, it blames Israel for the situation and at the very least, as the White House has repeatedly done, resorts to the spineless position of equivalence, restraint, and ceasefire. That is, that the Jews are as much to blame for these attacks as the Palestinians are! This is totally outrageous, a contradiction of the true historical narrative surrounding this conflict, and very sad because there appears to be no moral backbone in the propagators of this nonsense. In fact, these misguided idiots are seeking to reward the Palestinians for their murderous actions on October the 7th by giving them a state with Jerusalem as its capital! The truth is, they are more concerned about votes in their own backyards than doing what is right. It is the same as saying that the Jews were equally responsible for the Holocaust! The failure to properly apportion blame for these horrendous murders and barbaric acts only encourages the perpetrators to continue them. This type of “cover” was given to Hi**er’s murderous regime when the world closed its doors to the Jews prior to the Second World War. The saga of the Evian Conference, held in France in 1938, and the St. Louis; a ship carrying Jews from Germany and later renamed the “Death Ship”, highlighted this reality. At this conference no nation, including America, would allow Jews into their countries and consequently they refused to let the ship dock in their territorial waters. The vessel was thus forced to return to Germany and many of those aboard her were murdered in the N**i industrial killing machine. Hi**er watched all of this unfold and knew that he could get away with it because no one cared about the Jews. He therefore had the cover to do what he liked with them and so he set about exterminating them.
All of this fulfills the words of the Hebrew prophet who wrote:
“Therefore, all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; those who plunder you shall become plunder, and all who prey upon you I will make a prey. For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, because they called you an outcast saying, “This is Zion, no one seeks her.” Jeremiah 30:16-17
In 1968 Eric Hoffer, a recipient of the Presidential Medal Freedom, wrote: “Other nations, when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious, it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world! Other nations, when they are defeated, survive and recover but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed.” This is certainly the intention of all those involved in the Palestinian struggle against Israel. Hence the cry, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
Muslims And The Radical Left
Throughout Europe and America Jews are now in the “crosshairs” of Muslims and radical leftists and who would have believed this just ten, twenty or thirty years ago. Again, on the streets of Paris, Munich, London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Stockholm, New York, Los Angeles and Washington DC there are the shouts of “Kill the Jews”, “Gas the Jews” and “Death to Israel.” The individual and corporate Jew is now the target of an age-old hatred and sadly, as it was before and so now, much of the Church is silent, and some are even supportive of this wickedness. Anti-Semitism is a growing plague that is becoming popular again; this should make us all tremble. Having abandoned a moral compass, much of the western world has lost its way and this is truly a barometer of terrible things to come. When the world comes for the Jews, it won’t be too long afterwards when that same world will experience untold misery and disaster. It appears that the world has forgotten the lesson of the Second World War. Mark my words, a catastrophe is in the making, and someone had better wake up, especially the Church of Jesus Christ. We cannot be silent at this time, and we need to remember the words of Pastor Martin Niemoller who wrote: “First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.”
The South African Saga
It is also truly a sad day when the ANC government of South Africa warmly invites the Hamas leadership to the country, then enthusiastically endorses their strategy for the destruction of Israel and leads this agenda by taking Israel to the International Court of Justice on a charge of committing genocide. And, by the way, all of this financed by their Iranian overlords! The truth is, the South African government has become the useful idiot of the Iranian regime that for years has threatened to destroy Israel. Nelson Mandela, the great liberating leader of that country, stated upon his assumption to power in April of 1994 that in the future, South Africa’s foreign policy would be dictated by democratic and civilized values. That is, the country would henceforth only forge meaningful partnerships with those nations that embraced freedom and democracy. This lofty and most worthy aspiration was short lived because upon Mandela’s departure the ANC has endorsed every rogue and undemocratic regime that it could including Libya, Iran, Cuba, Red China and the radical Islamic groups of the Middle East, including Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The totally democratic state of Israel, and the only one in the whole of the Middle East, is routinely smeared and threatened by the ANC. You would think that a people that suffered so much at the hands of a rogue racist regime would know better, but they do not. The same anti-Semitic and lawless spirit that took hold of Germany in the 1930s has gripped them. The consequences for South Africa will be catastrophic to say the least.
Final Thoughts
My friends, these are dark and evil days, and the God of the Bible is testing all of us. Our responses to these things will determine the nature of our relationship with Him (Numbers 24:9). This test will only get more severe as time passes and to successfully deal with it, we may have to hurdle some great challenges and trials in the days and months to come.
The question is, “Who is adequate for these things?” The very evil and antisemitic spirit behind all of this is seeking to seduce us, and at the very least, intimidate us into doing nothing as the Jews are vilified everywhere and Israelis are being assaulted, r***d and murdered.
God is looking for an Esther, a Corrie Ten Boom, a Dietrich Bonhoeffer or a Raoul Wallenberg at this hour. The Prime Minister of Israel recently referred to the wicked role that the Mufi of Jerusalem, Haj al-Husseini, played out in the grand plan of the Third Reich for the destruction of world Jewry in the 1940s. Though initially mocked for saying this he has now been proved to be right.
The link between radical Muslim nationalism and N**ism is beyond doubt and the fruit of it is everywhere to be seen as rioters rage on the streets of the western democracies holding placards that eulogize what Hi**er did and call for more of the same. We are without excuse!
