⛔ Boundaries:
For all events, regardless of location, we will have a 200m exclusion zone where any bodies of open water are excluded and out of bounds - There maybe additional boundaries for specific regions, and admin will announce these on the day of the event as they can be weather dependant - We will not be adding unnessaccary boundaries to locations unless there is imminent risk to your health and safety - We understand every angler has different kayaks and abilities and we want you to enjoy your day on the water and fish the areas you prefer.
🎣 About the Series:
AFT is a kayak-only, lure-only bream tournament run across 8 Sydney locations, 6 Brisabane locations and 3 Mid North Coast (MNC) locations.
The top anglers qualify for the Grand Final, which last season paid out over $12,000 in cash & prizes.
Entry Cap: Approximately 50 anglers per round
Entry Fee: $75 (prize pool scales with entries)
💸 Estimated Prize Pool (based on 50 entrants):
🥇 1st: Tackle Addiction $700 Cash
🥈 2nd: $450 Cash
🥉 3rd: $300 Cash
4th – $200 Cash + $50 TA Voucher
5th – $100 Cash + $40 TA Voucher
HWS Beast Bream: $100 Cash
Mystery Bag: $30 TA Voucher
🏆 How the Grand Final Works:
Each region runs its own points system throughout the season, at the end of the season, a total of 60 anglers will be invited to the AFT Grand Final. Invitations are allocated proportionally, based on how many anglers competed in each region across the season. 🔢
Simple Example: If total season participation looked like this: Sydney: 70 anglers Brisbane: 30 anglers Mid North Coast: 20 anglers That’s 120 anglers total for the season. ✅ Grand Final Invitations Would Be: Sydney: 35 invites Brisbane: 15 invites Mid North Coast: 10 invites 👉 More anglers fishing a region = more Grand Final spots for that region (that's right, we know it's hard to win against more competitors, so this proportional ratio approach evens up the entries to the grand final for everyone) 👉 Your points only compete within your region
Season 2 Grand final, paid out over $12,000 in cash and prizes and we are hopeful season 3 will be even bigger!

Only an official AFT Brag Mat can be used at our events. If you purchased one last year, you can still use it this season - please remember to clean the old code work off with acetone or cover with white tape, prior to comp day, to help our admin team, at weigh in.
