I love the wonder of the story behind an item who was the person who loved this before us? Was it a gift full of love or heartfelt thanks? Engaging the children in the story of these repurposed items will encourage them to connect with the resource; this will bring a shared respect and broaden their understanding of the world they live in. What better way to breathe new life into an item, by being

part of the next generation’s play, to spark their curiosity and open up their minds to a world of creativity, imagination and diversity. My hope is that these resources connect your service, families and children to build relationships with the past and become part of embedding sustainability for the future.

Thank you to our new and returning families for attending yesterday's Wild Bunches session at Wildflowers Sustainable nature based playgroup.
🌞The weather was perfect 🐘as we used our imaginations to go on an Elephant hunt', through the sensory trays of grass, water, mud, and the forest, where we found a cave.
🎶We explored sounds on the music wall,
🐝used our fine motor skills to fill up the sensory honeycomb and colour the flowers
🍊Cut and juiced our own snack
🧪Created potions.
🐔fed the chickens (they needed a day spa and rest after a the fun)
🐾I had a setting up and packing down helper

Wild Bunches 0-5 years. 9.30-11.30am
This session will be inspired by World elephant, Lizard and honey bee day.

We will be going on a sensory elephant hunt, filling in the sustainable sensory bee hive, creating playdough lizards and having a tea party in the bee hive Cafe. Come along and join in the fun 🐝

Thank you to our dedicated beautiful family that attended our Bloom and Branch session today. The children were full of curiosity, adventure and creativity, as they
🏎created a drag car with the large loose parts,
🌈used the mallets to discover what colour would splat out from under the hearts,
🐔🥚fed the chickens, collected the eggs,
🥒harvested fresh beans and cucumbers
💧 watered the veggie gardens
🍊cut and juiced their own oranges to have juice
And so much more.

Unfortunately I have had to make the decision to cancel tomorrow's home school session due to low numbers but this is great news, for everyone else. I am now making my fortnightly home school sessions a 0-12 year old session so that any one can book and come along 🌻 So this means every fortnight you will have the choice of 2 sessions and can select the one that best suits your family. Look forward to seeing you at a session very soon 🌻 I have attached the August calendar 📅

(Siblings of home-schooled children under 5 years can be booked in for these sessions)

This session will be inspired by the following awareness days:-
29th International Tiger Day
30th International Day of Friendship

There should also be some cucumbers to harvest 🥒
