A little insight into collection day at Baked by Danelle… 🤍
Firstly, thank you to every customer who arrives on time or sends me a quick message if they’re running behind. It genuinely means so much and helps my weekends run smoothly🫶🏻
Last weekend, most of my custom order collections were late. Every customer had a genuine reason, and I completely understand that life happens. Work, children and unexpected delays are all part of life.
The difficult part isn’t someone running late, it’s being left waiting without any communication.
Because my studio is located a few kilometres out of town, I do everything I can to make collection quick and convenient. I watch for your arrival so I can meet you at your car with your order, making pickup as seamless as possible.
Long before collection time arrives, cake boxes are assembled and labelled, orders are carefully packaged, and everything is ready and waiting for its new home. Every collection time is planned so your pickup is quick and stress-free.
When collection times come and go without a message, I’m left waiting. Fifteen or thirty minutes might not seem like much, but across a busy weekend those minutes quickly become hours.
As a one-woman business, my day is carefully planned around every collection, every cake, my family and my other commitments. Respecting collection times helps me continue providing the personal service I pride myself on.
If you’re running behind, that’s absolutely okay, I simply ask for a quick message. It doesn’t need to be a long explanation; even a simple “I’m running 20 minutes late” allows me to adjust my day instead of waiting and wondering.
To everyone who already does this, thank you. Your kindness and consideration never go unnoticed, and I truly appreciate every one of you.
Thank you for understanding🩷
