🐓 SET REVIEW – LEGO® Disney Heihei (43272)

Built and reviewed by Sissi 👁️

Heihei might not be the smartest Rooster in Disney… and this build stayed true to character! 😂 We were missing a couple of pieces along the way (which somehow feels fitting), but managed to improvise and get him finished.

The build itself was a lot of fun, although Sissi assures me it’s definitely more challenging when you’re building with long nails! 💅 There are a few interesting techniques throughout that keep things engaging, and once complete, Heihei has loads of personality. Whether you’re a Disney fan or just love quirky display pieces, this one is guaranteed to make you smile.

It’s not the biggest set in the range, but it’s colourful, expressive and instantly recognisable. A great addition alongside the other LEGO Disney character builds.

🐱 SET REVIEW – LEGO® Disney Adorable Marie (43286)

“I was really excited to build Marie because she’s so cute!” 💗

There were a few parts that were a little bit repetitive, but Ru 🦘 still had lots of fun and finished it in a couple of hours. Her favourite pieces were all the pink ones, and she really liked seeing Marie come together as she built her.

Her favourite part of the whole set is the little purple jewellery box. It’s tiny, but she think it makes the set feel more special and gives Marie a bit more personality.

Marie will now have a spot on our shelf. If you like Disney or cute LEGO sets, we think you’ll really enjoy this one too!

Keen to see how we can incorporate set 80121 Ancient Moon-Gazing Inn into our LEGO® City over in the Bruce Bricks Brick Den.

2 GWP, one for the cupboard, one for approach to ❤️ Fun Island.

A new wall feature to keep the head of the planning and finance department happy (hopefully she contributes to the build) 🥰

🚜 SET REVIEW – LEGO® City Bulldozer (40466)

This little set has a bit of a story behind it.

It was a gift, but then it came with a challenge to build it as fast as I could. So sitting at a friends dining room table I managed to finish it in under an hour, and honestly, it was one of the most enjoyable quick builds I’ve done.

Despite its smaller size, LEGO® packed plenty of detail into this set. The tracks, blade and ripper all look the part, and it captures the shape of a real machine surprisingly well. It’s the sort of set that’s fun to build and fun to display.

Not every LEGO set needs to take days to build to be enjoyable.

This is one of those sets that reminds you how much fun a simple build can be. It comes together quickly, looks fantastic on display and is a great addition for anyone who enjoys construction machinery.

It’s also made me want to collect the other recently released LEGO City construction machines to build a little fleet.

Bit of a tidy up, got to keep the head of the planning department happy!

Progress at the base of ❤️Fun Island’s treehouse continues with rock work.

Placement of the Islands Ferris Wheel and Carousel, and commencement on the Islands own LEGO store.

🌍 SET REVIEW – LEGO® Ideas: The Globe (21332)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5)

This one was extra special because it was a birthday gift, and it’s definitely become one of my favourite display sets. I have always had a bit of a thing for the world globe.

I’ll be honest though, the build itself is quite repetitive. Once you’ve built a few of the globe sections, you know exactly what’s coming for the next… and the next… and the next. 😅

What kept me motivated was seeing it slowly transform from a pile of panels into a recognisable globe. Every few bags it looked a little more complete, and by the end it was absolutely worth pushing through the repetition.

The finished set is fantastic. It rotates smoothly, has printed-style name tiles for the continents and oceans and at first glance looks like any other globe. It’s one of those sets that people immediately notice and want to have a closer look at.
