Meet the Knights of the Australian Jousting Championship – Lady Jay Dominick
A lifelong horsewoman and passionate medieval reenactor, Lady Jay Dominick has dedicated herself to the art of mounted combat from an early age. Riding horses since she was just six years old and involved in historical reenactment since 16, Jay has built a wealth of experience both in and out of the saddle.
Following the traditional path from squire to knight under the guidance of Sir Rodney and Lady Liberty Deaman, Jay earned her place within the Order of the Hound. She recently claimed one of the biggest victories of her career by winning the Tournament of St Monica, defeating her former mentor, Sir Rodney Deaman, in a dramatic tie-break.
Away from the tournament field, Jay shares her expertise through Riding With Sticks, where she teaches mounted archery, skill at arms, and horse training, combining her passion for medieval horsemanship with developing confident and capable horses.
