We had the absolute pleasure of creating garden centerpieces for a recent event at this stunning space — the 1929 Plaza Ballroom, tucked beneath the Regent Theatre in Melbourne.
The Spanish-style architecture is nothing short of magnificent, and watching the spotlights fall on each table, lighting up our blooms, was pure magic.
We leaned into deep reds, burgundies and pinks to echo the richness of the room and that gorgeous carpet — the whole space just came together.
Huge thanks to the Plaza Ballroom event crew for making load-in and setup such a breeze. 🙏

When you can’t be there in person or when words are hard to find, flowers can say what we can’t.
Our sympathy blooms are a mixed flower spray or sheaf, thoughtfully arranged to send condolences and comfort to someone who has lost a loved one.
This piece is beautifully suited to a funeral or remembrance service — and afterwards, the family can take it home to keep. Or, if you’d prefer, we can deliver it straight to their door, ready to be unwrapped and placed in a vase of their own.

🌿 Today’s floristry class: Wedding Arch Florals 🌿
A step up from everyday floristry! Students learned to build a foliage base, layer in flowers, and create a corner spray for an archway — imagine multiples of these scaled up for the full arch. 💐
We also talked real-talk florist problems: showing up on-site and finding a metal frame instead of the wooden arch you planned for. Adaptability is everything.
Beginners welcome, but as always our Bloom and Style studio classes have a fun challenge built in.
Next month: dance floor hanging installations 😍 Fancy, but totally achievable — we’ll break it all down step by step.

🌸 Community Posy Project with the Beaumaris Junior Girl Guides! 🌸

What an absolute joy it was to spend an evening with these gorgeous girls, teaching them the simple magic of flower arranging! 💐

The Posy Project is all about bringing a little colour, creativity and connection into our local community — and what better way to do that than getting hands-on with fresh, seasonal blooms alongside the next generation of budding florists?
We talked about how to build a posy from the centre out, and (most importantly) had a LOT of laughs along the way. Watching their little faces light up when they finished their first posy was honestly the best part of my week. 🥹
This evening brought back so many memories for me too — I was a Brownie myself back in primary school, and I loved going to my weekly meeting! Funnily enough, one of the leaders there, Carol, her daughter was a Brownie with me all those years ago. Such a lovely full-circle moment. 🌼
A huge thank you to Niamh, the leaders and girls of the Beaumaris Junior Girl Guides for having me — you were all such naturals! 🌷
