Ever wondered if the Barbie Dream Besties clothes fit a regular modern Barbie?

Well here is the top and shorts from Dream Besties Racquelle being modelled by Teresa on an articulated modern body.

So the verdict is....the body shapes are quite similar but the Besties are smaller in the chest and larger in the hip.

Stretchy fabrics will fit fine. Non-stretch tops will not fit (I could not get the love heart top on over the t-shirt) but shorts are slightly loose and fit great!

I found her with slight rodent chews to nose and forehead...so good opportunity for a custom doll as I don't generally like to modify vintage dolls unless they are damaged.
I feel like this is a really nice modern take on Sweet Roses.

They are in amazing condition but unfortunately missing their overcoats & accessories. Their face paint design is simply lovely.

Original outfits but missing sunglasses. I had lots of fun creating the shelf display behind them. My first photoshoot for 2026....I've been on holiday from dolls for a bit...
A lot of you probably never knew these existed...they came about the same time as the original Fashionistas and Monster High dolls which I collected both avidly. I never saw these on shop shelves....There are a few resources for them online...worth a read 😊
