Come swim among the bracken with me...

Recently there has been a theme that is flowing throughout my paintings and it's bracken. It brings back so many memories of childhood and time spent in the bush swimming through the Bracken.

Sometimes I'll start a painting and I'll feel the enthusiasm behind it fall away instead of pushing through. Sometimes I will look to start a new.

What a beautiful day to be out painting

It's been a great trip so far. Camped behind the beautiful Border Inn Hotel . I was delighted to wake up to some beautiful scenery just out my door ready for painting early this morning. Back on the road now homebound.

Today's painting location looks very different now that the fog had lifted. Fighting the mossies Plein air painting is making me work quicker. About to turn my chair around and paint in the other direction.
