8 years of Coosh & Co… and I thought it might be time to introduce the woman behind it again. 🥂🩷

Hi, I’m Cushla but most people call me Cush. 👋🏼

I’m a hairdresser of almost 40 years, former salon owner, fashion lover, denim girl, interiors obsessive, lover of vintage, live music, colour, a good print, a beautiful sunset and pretty much anything with a little 70s soul.

And eight years ago, I created Coosh & Co. 🌸

I don’t think I could have imagined then just how much this little business, or I would change over the next eight years.

Coosh began in 2018 as a bricks + mortar boutique bringing together HAIR | FASHION | HOME all the things I loved in one beautiful space.

Then came an online store, COVID, a complete change in direction, another much bigger store, markets, workshops, pop-ups, festivals and eventually the decision to close the bricks + mortar chapter and take Coosh completely online.

There have been some incredible highs and some bloody hard lows.

I’ve changed homes, careers, relationships and directions. I’ve started over more than once. There have been times when life looked absolutely nothing like I thought it would.

And somehow, Coosh has come along for the ride. 🤍

I think that’s why this little business means so much more to me than simply selling clothes.

It’s a reflection of everything I love.

Fashion that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Beautiful things with personality.
Colour. Prints. Denim. A little bohemian spirit and plenty of 70s nostalgia.

Pieces that make you want to get dressed up, turn the music up, pour the ch*****ne and go somewhere fabulous, even if it’s just down the road. 🥂

I’ve never believed fashion should have an age attached to it either.

Wear the mini. Wear the print. Wear the flares. Wear the colour. Wear whatever makes you look in the mirror and think, yep, that’s me. ✨

And maybe that’s what Coosh & Co has become for me too.

A reminder to keep evolving, keep creating, keep having fun and never be afraid to reinvent yourself.

At eight years in, I’m still doing things my own way. I’m still choosing every piece that comes into Coosh. I’m still ridiculously excited when I find something I know my Coosh girls are going to love. And yes, I still get a little thrill when an order comes through. 🥹

But the best part has been you.

The women who have shopped with me, messaged me, come to the stores, visited the pop-ups, followed along through all the different chapters and cheered this little business on.

Some of you have been here since day one.

And some of you arrived this week.

Either way, welcome to Coosh & Co. 🩷

Eight years ago I started a little business built around the things I loved.

Eight years later, I’m still here.
A little older, hopefully a little wiser, definitely still obsessed with clothes… and still dreaming up what’s next.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
