A family Christmas lights tradition reborn on Newington Parade, Mernda. Lighting up the community & supporting Make-A-Wish Australia.

https://fundraise.makeawish.org.au/fundraisers/newingtonparade The annual Allumba Drive display has been taking place for the past 14 years with new lights being added to each display to make it bigger and better. In 2012 we introduced a fully syncronised light show which consisted of 12,000 LED Lights fully animated to music over 98.5 FM. Since 2012 the display has continued to grow hitting headl

ines including newspapers (Herald Sun), Television (The Today Show) and Radio (3aw) and in 2013 The Allumba Christmas APP was created and made available to download at the APP store. This year we have more than 18,000 lights which will be on display from November 29th-December 25th nightly from 8:45pm (Weather permitting)

THIS DISPLAY IS SUPPORTING THE MAKE-A-WISH Foundation. Donations welcome at the donation point beside the billboard at the front of the display.

🎄✨ Christmas Eve at Newington Parade 🎄

Tonight’s the night! On Christmas Eve, the lights at the Newington Parade Christmas Display will be on all night to help light up the sky for Santa as he makes his way around delivering presents. 🎅✨

There’s still one more night to go after tonight, with the display lighting up again tomorrow night, which will be our final night for the season.

It’s also one of the last chances to donate in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve now reached just over $900 in donations — an amazing effort from our community. 💙🌟

Just a quick heads-up for everyone — the Newington Parade Christmas Display will only be running for another 4 nights.

A big thank you to everyone who came down last night while Channel 9 filmed their story on our Christmas display. We really appreciate the support and the great turnout — it made the night even more special! 💙✨

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation so far. We are now over $700 in donations, which is an incredible effort from our community. 💙🌟

🎄✨ Channel 9 News Filming Tonight! ✨🎄

A little heads-up for everyone — Channel 9 News will be dropping by tonight from 7:30pm to film some footage of our Christmas display for their upcoming story. 🎥✨

The lights will be running as normal from 8:30pn and everyone is absolutely welcome to come down if you’d like to enjoy the display or watch a bit of the filming.
And who knows — if you pop down, you may even get filmed for the story! 🎬

Just to keep things clear — there’s no special event happening tonight. It’s simply a regular night of lights, with a news crew capturing some Christmas magic.

The Allumba Drive Christmas Display last lit up the neighbourhood back in 2017. It was an unforgettable part of our family’s tradition, and we’re grateful for everyone who visited and supported us over the years.

We’re excited to share that this page will now continue the tradition under a new name:
