Nobody tells you that running a gifting business mostly involves eating for a living.

Before any treat makes it into our gift boxes, it goes through a strict testing process.

That means opening every packet and trying everything myself.

Eating four different shortbreads before 10am sounded great until I had to test a fifth one.

Every item in our hampers is handpicked and taste-tested by me before it ever goes out the door.

Every office has a shelf where the corporate gifts go to die.

Ours had a tin of biscuits on it for four months.

Nobody was rude about it. They just didn't want it. It was chosen for the company, not the person.

So we do it backwards. Pick the gift for the actual human. Tea drinker gets tea. The one counting down to Friday gets gin.

Your logo on the card, not stamped across everything. Low minimums, so you're not sending two hundred identical boxes.

That's the difference between a gift that goes home in the passenger seat and one that stays on the shelf.

We didn't start Misa to sell gift boxes.

We started it in 2022 because we believed a gift should feel as considered as the moment it's marking. Three years on, that's still the whole thing. The story behind it. The person opening it. The details that make them feel genuinely seen.

What's changed is who we get to do it for. What began with personal celebrations now includes weddings, product launches, client and employee gifting and events across Australia, with custom branding for the businesses who want it.

And wherever we can, we fill those boxes with small Australian brands we actually believe in.
