In Northern Argentina, the chaguar is much more than a plant, it is very important culturally for the Wichí people. The plant has a prominent symbolic role in the rite of female initiation, in which women begin to spin and weave from adolescence. It is a source of Wisdom, art and connection with nature. The Chaguar fibers used to make each garment and accessory carry with them a story of respect and love for the land.
