Thank You, Everyone 💙

Words cannot express how amazing the readers, authors and fellow book lovers have been at the last two events.

To everyone, Amara and I have connected with - thank you for being so amazing in supporting not only my passion for books but those of all authors.

This Saturday, we are packing up our favourite shelves and heading to Salisbury for the South Australian Author Showcase and we could not be more excited to see you all! 💙✨

There is something truly magical about gathering to celebrate homegrown talent, and we are so proud to be bringing along a curated collection of books from incredible Australian authors. Even better, we’ll have titles from two of South Australia’s very own gems, Jane Hinchey and Ellie Cram, ready for you to discover and fall in love with.

To add a little extra fun to the day, we’re also bringing along a box full of treats, with the chance to win some wonderful books.

Whether you’re hunting for your next favourite read, chatting tropes with fellow book lovers, or simply soaking up the literary energy, come say hello and browse our table.

We can’t wait to meet you this Saturday at the Salisbury Community Hub! 📖✨

A Little Bookish Surprise, Just Because…

Life can feel a little heavy sometimes. And after everything that has happened personally for Jenna, we’ve been thinking a lot about the people who have continued to support The Hearth & Quill - and how much joy it brings us to be able to give kindness back in return.

Because community isn’t just something we talk about here. It’s the heart of why The Hearth & Quill exists.

So, we’ve been making lots of little bookish gifts to tuck into your shopping bags with your upcoming orders and local collections.

And here’s where the fun begins…

**FOUR of these little bookish gifts grant you a free book!**

Each winning gift has a note inside telling you exactly what you’ve won.

Please don’t worry if yours doesn’t contain a prize. Every little bookish gift has been made with the hope that it will still bring a smile to your face.

A few things to know:

📚 Every order will receive a little bookish gift.
✨ Only four gifts contain winning notes.
🎁 The prize you’ve won will be written inside, of your bookish gift.
📍 This is for in-person events and local pickups.
💙 I don’t know which gifts are the winners either! We’ll keep all four prizes on hand, ready for you to collect alongside your order if you happen to find a winning note.

This is simply something from us, to you. No sponsors, no complicated rules - just a little thank you from The Hearth & Quill to the people who have supported this dream.

Whether you're collecting an order or simply stopping by one of our events, I hope our little bookish gift makes you smile.

Thank you for being part of this little community, for supporting local, for supporting independent Australian authors, and for helping The Hearth & Quill become a place where stories gather and people belong.

There is something profoundly special about what happens when people gather over shared stories, beautiful botanicals, and delicious food. 💙

Looking back through these photos from our last Books, Botanicals & Bites gathering fills my heart right up. Watching conversations spark, quiet connections form, and our community grow around a shared table reminds me why The Hearth & Quill exists. Books bring us together, but the people make it feel like home.

Community isn’t just a word to us - it’s the very heart of everything we’re building.

If you missed the last one (or can't wait to gather again), we would love to welcome you to our next evening.

📍 Next Event Details:
• Event: Books, Botanicals & Bites
• When: Friday, 14th of August
• Where: Big Mumma’s Cafe, Mount Barker

Save the date, bring a friend, or come along solo as there is always space for you at our table. We can’t wait to see you there and share another beautiful evening together. 💙

There is something deeply special about the way a small township comes together to support its own.

At The Hearth & Quill, community isn’t just a word on a page - it’s showing up for the spaces, clubs, and people. Grassroots sports and local clubs are the heartbeat of places like Meadows, bringing generations together, building connections, and creating memories that last well beyond the final whistle.

That is why we were so incredibly proud and honoured to support the Meadows Football Club Ladies Day!

To add a little touch of bookish magic to the celebrations, we were thrilled to donate a couple of surprise books for the event. There’s nothing quite like matching a great story with a wonderful community afternoon, and we hope the lucky recipients love diving into their new reads!

It takes a village to put together events like these, and we are so grateful to stand alongside such an incredible lineup of local sponsors, producers, and small businesses - including our family’s cabinetry business, Top Line Furniture, and so many wonderful Hills legends.

Thank you to the club and the organisers for bringing everyone together, and to everyone who showed up to support. Please remember to show our local sponsors some love!
