After all the sanding, it’s time for my favourite part—applying the Danish oil. ✨

This is where the timber really comes to life. The oil doesn’t just enhance the natural colours and grain; it also helps protect the earrings and keep them looking beautiful for years to come.

Every pair is carefully finished by hand, bringing out the unique character hidden within the wood.

Which stage of the process would you like to see next?

✨ Just finished these stunning Harmony Circle Earrings, and there’s only one pair left!

Featuring hand-selected timbers that highlight the beauty of natural wood grain, these earrings are finished with sterling silver findings that I hand-fabricated myself, making every part of the design a true labour of craftsmanship.

If you’ve had your eye on them, you might want to be quick… before my wife decides she wants them for herself! 😄

The difference between good and great earrings is often measured in millimetres.

This simple sanding jig helps me achieve precise and consistent thickness on every pair of earrings I make. Once the jig is set, I can accurately sand each piece to within tenths of a millimetre of my target thickness, giving a more professional and consistent result.

Sometimes it’s the simple jigs that make the biggest difference in the workshop.

Do you enjoy making your own jigs, or do you prefer buying ready-made solutions?

Consistency is key when creating quality handmade jewellery.

In this reel, I’m using a simple jig to mark the final thickness of the earring before sanding. It might seem like a small step, but these little details help ensure every piece is comfortable to wear, well-balanced, and finished to a high standard.

What woodworking jig or shop-made tool couldn’t you live without?

I still see way too many people cutting tiny pieces on the bandsaw with their fingers dangerously close to the blade… and honestly, it’s just not worth the risk.

For small pieces like my earrings, safety always comes first. In this reel I’m showing the jig I use to safely hold and cut small parts while keeping my hands well away from the blade.

A simple jig like this can make woodworking safer, more accurate, and a lot less stressful.

If you work with small pieces on the bandsaw, what’s your go-to safety trick or jig setup? 👇

One of my favourite parts of woodworking… applying the finish. Watching the grain come to life under the oil never gets old.

In this video I’m applying Danish oil to this bowl — only the 4th bowl I’ve turned so far, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Every bowl teaches me something new.

What do you think of it? And does anyone know what wood species this is? 👀🪵

The first time I used sterling silver and fabricated my own findings for a custom pair of earrings.

A customer came to me wanting something truly special for his partner — a quality pair of earrings based on a design he sent me. This project pushed me outside my comfort zone and inspired me to start fabricating every aspect of my jewellery by hand.

From the timber to the sterling silver findings, I want every detail to reflect the care, craftsmanship, and individuality behind each piece. This feels like the beginning of taking my work to the next level.

Just proving this wasn’t just another tool purchase… 😅🔪

A while ago I picked up a few accessories from , and today I finally put them to work—practising on some old knives.

Safe to say… the jigs do an incredible job. Getting that clean, razor-sharp edge is seriously satisfying. Might have just justified this one after all 😉
