Book Week armour is officially underway! ⚔️🛡️

The first pauldron for Cullen’s paladin costume is finished, and its matching partner is printing now! Still to come are the bracers, greaves, a handmade breastplate and tabard—plus plenty of belts, potion bottles and medieval accessories.

Because apparently he wanted armour like mums and simply buying a knight costume would have been far too easy 😂

I can’t wait to see the whole paladin come together!

Canberra comic con is this weekend! And although forge and filament are NOT vendors this weekend we will be cosplaying so if you see say hi we promise we aren’t that scary really!

🎉🥳 WE’RE HEADING TO GEEK EXPO WAGGA WAGGA! 🥳🎉

We are beyond excited to announce that we’ve officially been accepted as traders for Geek Expo Wagga Wagga! 🤯💚

With another awesome event joining the calendar, we’ve had to reshuffle our schedule a little, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead!

These are our major confirmed events for the rest of 2026 (with plenty of local markets and smaller events sprinkled in between 😉).

Whether you’re into dragons, dice, tabletop gaming, cosplay, fidgets, fantasy, or just love seeing what we have been creating, then come and say hi!

🐉 And… there’s something new arriving soon…

Our Mutant Chonk Dragons have escaped the laboratory and are desperately searching for loving homes! Each one has its own collectible stat card and specimen container, but be warned… they’re curious little creatures and require constant supervision. Who knows what chaos they’ll get up to if left unattended! We will be releasing a new Mutant Chonk each major event! So@collect them all!! 🧪💙💖

We can’t wait to meet everyone at our upcoming events, catch up with familiar faces, and welcome plenty of new ones into the Forge & Filament family.

💜 That’s a wrap on GeekExpo Canberra 2026! 💜

What an incredible weekend.

To everyone who stopped by our little corner of the convention, whether you adopted a dragon, took home a tiny wriggler, picked up a piece from the armoury, or simply came over for a chat… thank you. Every smile, every conversation and every purchase means the world to our family.

Events like this are the result of months of designing, printing, painting, packing, planning, and more than a few late nights (and very little sleep!). Seeing our creations find new homes makes every single hour worthwhile.

A very special thank you goes to Dan “The Man” and his amazing partner Corine. GeekExpo doesn’t just magically happen. It takes an enormous amount of work behind the scenes before the doors even open, and then an incredible amount of effort all weekend long to keep everything running so smoothly. Thank you both for your passion, your dedication and for creating such a welcoming event for vendors, artists, creators and the geek community. We truly appreciate everything you do.

We’re heading home with tired feet, sore backs, a much lighter trailer, and hearts that are absolutely full.

Thank you for making another GeekExpo one we’ll never forget.

We’ll see you all again soon… and we’re already dreaming up what Forge & Filament will bring to Geek Christmas! 🎄🐉⚔️
