Resin is a thick medium. When we mix in our colours, or even just combine the two parts together, air gets trapped in the pour. The same happens with the timber. Camphor Laurel has a slight natural porosity, and those tiny pockets hold air too.

As the resin starts to cure, that trapped air rises into little bubbles. If you leave them, they set hard into the surface and stay there for good.

So before we let a piece fully cure, we fire it. A gentle pass with the blowtorch draws those bubbles up and releases them, so the finish stays perfectly flat and clean.

It’s a small step, but it’s the difference between rough and flawless. You feel it when you run your hand across the surface, and you really see it when the light catches the resin.

That’s the part you don’t see, but it’s the reason the piece you receive is perfect.
