Time to move onto the big sweeping perenial boarder and give her a revamp.

Next stage of the new cutting Garden. Formerly known as the perennial beds.
Reform, re compost, replant,
i have 200 cutting plants of my lavender i did back in April .
Moved alot of the 7 year old roses into key positions.
The chuffs come and cleaned out the grubs. Now to do paths and ready for annual cut flower plantings.

Only 140 roses 2 prune and relocate from this old block. This thick, day long fog is not inspriring.

Big winter project 1, clear our perenial cutting beds for a big design overhaul. Watch this space.

Devide and put them all into the newly refurbished display beds.
All plantings always have a good dose of blood and bone in the hole for instant food .
All can still be used for floristry cutting and wowing visitors.

Beutiful winter solstice morning from broken creek (Baala), right outside our flower farm.

Why is this important to us as open feild growers , the shortest day the slowness the catching of our breath, because in a few weeks from mid july onwards everything will start to move , birds will start nest building, ants will start emerging and the seeds will start germing and the non native perenials trees and shrubs all start to wake up. The natives hit their stride and flower like there is no tomorrow.

So tonight will enjoy a nice bonfire a a hearty winter meal followed by soul warming drinks.

Mothers day eve and all the bussy little local florist elves have been working their butts off . We are fortunate to have a few of us to share the load of supplying our very supportive community.

Even though i had a low key entry into this mothers day myself this season, i thank the local support who reached out to me albeit the lack of me putting it out there.
Im still here and still growing and making my bunches and suppling foliage by order.

I hope every mother , grandmother , stand in mother, foster mother and any person who takes the position of mother has a realy super day.

For my mums day after, morning deliveries i will be enjoying my favorite thing, gardening in peace to tunes.

Been awhile on the socials.
We are Still here , autumn planting prep in full swing.

sometimes you just need to take stock of life and do a recalibration in health and business.
Ready for new season.
New direction.
New plans to create some visitor worthy gardens from the bones of the flower farmer florists hoards of plant stock and space.
A slower pace , (only in the sense of not keeping up with the fast pace of
the floristry side of the business) but a fuller meaningful total immersian into my true passion of creating a huge garden right beside our wholesale side of our flower farm. Crazy i know , more work, more satisfaction. Yes for me it is.
