Epilepsy Day window display done just in time for the purple lights 💜 that will shine over Newcastle City tonight. Thanks for your help Megs 💜

Today, March 26, 2026, Newcastle’s city landmarks will turn purple to raise awareness for epilepsy on Purple Day. Epilepsy Connect, a local epilepsy group, is organizing the event, which includes illuminating the City Town Hall Clock and the Crystalbrook Kingsley Hotel, as well as the Carrington Grain Silos. People are invited to gather outside the Newcastle Library at 7:30 pm to watch the buildings light up.

Some people think that events like these help spread awareness and show support for those living with epilepsy. Epilepsy Action Australia is also participating in Purple Day, encouraging people to share their stories and donate to support those affected by epilepsy. Kim Jones from Newcastle is sharing her 26-second message to help amplify epilepsy awareness.

Key events happening in Newcastle:
• Illuminations: City Town Hall Clock, Crystalbrook Kingsley Hotel, and Carrington Grain Silos will turn purple
• Gathering: Outside Newcastle Library at 7:30 pm
• Fundraising: Donations are being accepted to support epilepsy awareness and research

By shining a light on epilepsy, the community can come together to support those affected by the condition. You can make a difference by donating or sharing your own story.
