Pony Bead Elastic Bracelet Knotting Guide
Secure & Neat Finish

Master the secret to a clean, professional-looking kandi bracelet finish with this simple knot-tying tutorial!
Instead of knotting at the edge where the beads end, this technique shows you how to tie your knot between two beads in the middle of the strand, hiding it completely inside the bracelet for a smooth, seamless look.

Why tie between beads instead of at the edge?
An end knot sits exposed where it constantly rubs against your skin, clothing, and other bracelets. Over time, that friction loosens the knot, and it can slip, fray, or come undone, leaving your bracelet looking messy or falling apart.
Tying between beads protects the knot from rubbing and contact, keeping it tucked safely out of the way so it stays secure for the long haul.

Have fun making your friendship bracelets, handmade gift jewelry for birthday, children's day and Christmas

DIY Pearl Bow Dangle Drop Earrings

Learn how to make cute pearl bow earrings at home with the cross-over beading technique.
Each wing of the bow starts with one pearl and grows row by row, then goes back down.

Steps
1. Start the first wing
Add 1 pearl to your wire. This is row 1.

2. Add row 2 with a cross-over
Thread 2 pearls onto one end of the wire.
Pass the other end of the wire through those 2 pearls in the opposite direction, so the wires cross. Pull both sides snug.

3. Keep crossing over, adding more pearls each row
- Row 3: 3 pearls
- Row 4: 4 pearls
- Row 5: 5 pearls (the widest point)

4. Shrink the rows back down
Continue with the cross-over and reduce the pearls each row:
- 4 pearls
- 3 pearls
- 2 pearls
- 1 pearl

5. Add the center pearl
Thread on 1 bigger pearl. This is the center of the bow.

6. Make the second wing
Repeat the same pattern on the other side, using the cross-over each row:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

7. Fold and close the bow
Fold both wings in toward the center. Connect the last pearl of each wing to the big center pearl by passing the wire through, so the bow holds its shape.

8. Attach the ball pin (or head pin)
Slide a pin through the bow's center pearl.

9. Trim the extra
Use wire cutters to cut the excess pin.

10. Make the loop
Use a round nose plier to bend the wire into a loop.

11. Attach to the earring
Hook the beaded bow onto the earring hook, and close it firmly.

Repeat all the steps to make the second earring.

Tips
- Pull each cross-over snug so the rows sit tight with no gaps.
- Use the same pearl bead size for the wings so the bow looks even.
- Check that both wings have the same number of rows before you fold.

A simple technique for threading and securing a bead right on the thin chain, using tools you probably already have.

1. Use the tip of an awl, a thick needle, or a T-pin to gently stretch open a link where you want the bead to sit.
2. Thread the bead onto the chain and slide it right up against the opened link.
3. Open another link on the opposite side of the bead to hold it in position.

That's it! Your bead stays exactly where you want it, with a clean, professional finish.

Thin Chain Keeps Coming Apart? Easy Jump Ring Fix, No Solder Needed
Strengthen Delicate Chain Jewelry with a Jump Ring Trick
DIY Jewelry Repair, Make a Fragile Chain Stronger

Thin chain necklaces and bracelets often come apart at the end links, because all the pulling force lands on one tiny loop.
A simple no-solder trick to make them much stronger.

Instead of attaching the clasp or connector to just the last link, slide a jump ring through the end link and the third link from the end.

This spreads the tension across more links, so the chain is far less likely to snap or come undone.
No soldering, torch, or special equipment needed.

- Thin chain necklace or bracelet
- Jump ring
- Two pairs of jewelry pliers (or flat-nose and round-nose pliers)

This works for necklaces, bracelets, and anklets, and it's a quick, cheap fix for delicate jewelry.
