Last week we had our best sales day in 6 years…
Today we almost tripled it.

And the truth is, it’s never been about chasing the biggest sales day.

It’s about what those sales mean.

It means I get to pick up the phone and tell one of our makers, “Your artwork is heading to a new home!”

It means calling another to say, “We’re going to need a whole new batch before the weekend.”

It means more orders placed with small Australian businesses, more artists doing what they love and more handmade pieces finding homes all over the world 💛

Every person who walks through our doors, whether they’re a local or visiting from the other side of the globe, becomes part of that story.

Six years ago, Maker started with one simple goal: to create a space where local and Australian makers could be seen, supported and celebrated.

Days like today remind me that every purchase reaches so much further than our little shop in Port Douglas. So, thank you. Every single sale helps keep this beautiful cycle going and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful 🥹🥲

Now for some rest before tomorrow, when we do it all again! 😴💛
