The whispered accents of Yuto’s minimal aesthetic reflect a sophisticated ‘less is more’ design sensibility, gaining your attention without all the noise

Colourway: Light Bone | Iron Grey | Coconut Milk

Gone are the perforations on the toe box, and unlike the all suede uppers on the previous AF1 releases, this pair is finished in a combination of smooth leather and mesh

Yuto’s Hawk Feather family crest is embossed on the side heel, while the number 7 with an overlayed Swoosh is found on the rear of the shoe

The footbed has been lowered to sit closer to the ground, allowing for better board feel, while the midsole has been subtly retooled, with the traction pattern being updated to better suit the needs of skateboarding

First time in 15 years, Slam Issue #551 comes with alternate cover shots!

Both scored by Jedd McKenzie, option one has a frontside air on a rusty steel structure in Newcastle, a beastly boring machine called Kathleen, used to dig Sydney’s Metro rail tunnel beneath the Harbour.

Masquerading as “steelworks archivists” to scope the spot and get the backstory, Jedd Mckenzie and his crew discovered they had only 40 minutes of daylight to sneak in and get the shot.

Option two celebrates 50 Years of Hardcore, with the Hardcore indoor bowl was given a facelift, pool coping, and a lick of blue for Jedd to blast a stalefish off the new extension into the corner.
