How most of us started our slot car obsession, a parent or close family friend that introduced us. Dad carried him away in tears as he wanted to keep going. I dialed the power back to 6.8v and he was having a blast. The adults also didn't stack every corner, surprisingly! I am sure we have another one hooked.

Mixing golf and slot cars today, I was the sponsor for Hackers. Started the day 2 ball ambrose, took the win with my team mate Alison Peeler for 9 holes. Great lunch by Rizzo, then it was an afternoon cutting laps on the Mr Trax's track. Its amazing at how many people remember slot cars. We are looking at starting a club afternoon once a month on Coochiemudlo Island.

Bang for buck the stock out of the box SCX car has decent running gear. No plastic Pinion or axle bushes.

If you wanted to club race these cars, I would pop in a deeper guide and solder some lead wires onto the motor. The independent front wheels (Non 4 x 4) lends it's self to a great club car.
