Sorry for the slightly late notice!
We may have nearly killed ourselves clearing all those enormous tables out of the giant undercover area 😂 and we’ve spent the last little while trying to recover somewhat… (you can see the huge job just nailed in our recent video with Miles strutting his stuff!) while also continuing to get MORE done around the nursery.
It is taking a lot to get this place properly up to speed, but the GREAT thing is that these giant jobs will hopefully never have to be done again! WAHOO! 🙌😂
And now that we can finally see the potential of this huge space, our brains have gone into overdrive.
We’re planning to run our school holiday program during WEEK ONE of the Victorian school holidays, then take a very much needed break during Week Two.
Before I lock everything in, WE WOULD LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK ASAP on which sessions you’d genuinely be interested in.
⭐ Most of our bigger challenge events will run for at least 2½ hours and may run a little over.
⭐ Our smaller creative workshops will generally be around 1½ hours (we will go at pace of group - it a little longer naturally fine)
⭐ ALL AGES welcome — kids, teens, adults and families.
⭐ Parents are absolutely welcome to stay, join in and get involved too!
⭐ Sessions will need minimum numbers to go ahead.
I’m hoping to have everything confirmed with dates, times, prices and booking links tonight — or worst case tomorrow morning, depending on what our homeschool activities throw at us today! 😂

We’re thinking TWO epic battle sessions during the week!
Expect around 2½+ hours of battles, missions, challenges, team games and general mayhem throughout Mischief Makers HQ.
Bring your own compatible blaster if you have one, or use ours.
And after what happened last time…
SHOULD WE ALLOW ANOTHER ROGUE PARENT TEAM? 😂
Different battle rounds, challenges, teamwork, prizes and plenty of laughs.
Kids, teens AND adults welcome.

Now that we have finally cleared our enormous undercover area, there is one obvious question…
CAN YOU BUILD A MARBLE RUN THE FULL LENGTH OF IT?!
Work solo or team up.
We’ll have loads of:
📦 Cardboard
🧻 Tubes
🔧 Piping
📐 Ramps
📦 Boxes
🧵 Tape
♻️ Recycled materials
🤪 And all sorts of random building bits!
You’re welcome to bring useful clean recycled materials from home too.
Think STEM, engineering, problem-solving, designing, experimenting, testing, failing, fixing and trying again.
Can you make your marble:

And could we somehow connect everyone’s creations into ONE GIANT MISCHIEF MAKERS MARBLE RUN running through the entire space?!

The first in what we hope will become a whole series of Mischief Makers Fashion Mayhem events!
We’ll have piles and racks of:

👜 Accessories
🧣 Scarves
👔 Belts
✂️ Fabric and random bits
Please feel free to bring more clean clothing and accessories along too — you could even hit an op shop beforehand and find some spectacularly strange pieces!
Then…
YOU GET YOUR FASHION CHALLENGE.
You’ll have time to create and style your outfit.
You might dress yourself.
You might style a teammate.
There may even be some surprise challenges thrown in along the way. 😂
Bring your own makeup if you’d like to use it and I’ll have face paints available too.
Then we practise:

This one could get VERY competitive.
Teams.
Ingredients.

A challenge.
A time limit.
And hopefully some magical creations at the end!
You’ll work together to:

🍳 Cook
🎨 Plate
👩⚖️ Present your creation to the judges
There may be mystery ingredients.
There may be surprise twists.
There will almost certainly be chaos. 😂
Think MASTERCHEF… Mischief Makers style.
And yes — prizes and awards at the end!

🎨 GIANT HANGING ART CHALLENGE

For this one I’m thinking…
BIG.
I’m hoping to get hold of some old pull-down blinds and hang them throughout our enormous undercover area, turning them into HUGE vertical canvases.
Then everyone can work together in teams creating massive collaborative artworks using:
🎨 Paint
🖌️ Brushes
💦 Splattering
🔶 Printing
⭐ Stencils
✍️ Drawing
🤪 And whatever strange ideas evolve along the way!
Each group could receive a theme or challenge — or simply start with a giant blank canvas and see where their creativity takes them.
Because they’ll be hanging vertically, it will feel a little like creating giant murals.
Then at the end we can hang all the finished pieces together and create our own temporary:
MISCHIEF MAKERS GIANT ART GALLERY.
No need to be “good at art”.
This one is about colour, experimenting, working together and making something ridiculously BIG.

This one is going to be a little bit special.
When you book, you’ll be able to tell us which animal or shape you’d love to create.
Perhaps a:
🐱 Cat
🦋 Butterfly
🦉 Owl
🐢 Turtle
🐴 Horse
🦖 Dinosaur
🌸 Flower
🐶 Dog
…or something completely different!
Where possible, we’ll laser-cut your chosen design from timber BEFORE the workshop, ready for you when you arrive.
Then during the session, you’ll transform your wooden shape into your own colourful mosaic artwork using little tiles and decorative pieces.
Create patterns, play with colours and make it completely your own.
At the end, you’ll have a gorgeous personalised mosaic piece you can display on a shelf, hang on your wall or give as a handmade gift.

In this 1½-hour creative workshop, you can design and make your own pieces such as:

✨ Beaded creations
✨ Charms and little treasures
Mix colours, experiment with different styles and create pieces for yourself, gifts for friends or something completely outrageous.
We’ll have lots of materials and ideas ready — you just bring your imagination.
And parents, you’re very welcome to grab a seat and make something too!
