ANTIQUE AMETHYST GLASS BOTTLES $28 THE LOT

The central bottle is marked "Chesebrough Mfg Co Vaseline," a popular brand of petroleum jelly in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The others are essence and chemist bottles. All are hand dug from old tips around Perth, they've been cleaned and left to bake in the sun for many years, they will turn darker if you wish to leave them in the sun for longer. Having been in the ground for decades each shows some cloudiness. Pre 1920's glass that contained Manganese and exposed to the sun for long periods will turn purple . There are some small chips but no cracks. $28 the set. The tallest measures 12cm tall.
