My fascination with clay began in childhood, playing in the mud in the backyard (a common pastime for kids of my era), and was further ignited by my high school art teachers who demonstrated the myriad ways to transform a simple lump of clay into art. This interest blossomed in my 20s as I learned the potter's wheel and began exploring larger sculptural forms. A small, personal clay space in my ho
