I absolutely hate to fear monger you but no one needs more stress in life, so I say with love, if you have a VERY specific vision for your wedding you really should order earlier.

Peak wedding season runs from November - late April and during this time, many couples have the same florals on their vision board. Flower growers can only produce so much for this short period of time and when we order with the supplier, we essentially go onto a waiting list.

Calla lillies, chartreuse green hydrangea, white anthuriums and many more are so popular that in any given week, there may not be enough. Here’s why:
- Sheer popularity… once they are all cut and sold, even though the flower may be in season, some plants can only produce so much
- Limited transport capacities - if a hydrangea farm in the countryside only has a small truck, only so many white hydrangea will be available to buy and EVERYONE needs it so its first in best dressed
- In the whole field of a farm growing flowers, only 25% of flowers and plants may be matured enough to cut and use as the plant cycles from buds to flower
- During Christmas and New Year, many growers don’t cut anything or send anything to market because they are on holidays too
- During busy flying periods like December and January, flight space becomes limited and only so many imported flowers can be bought in which affects things like orchids, anthuriums and roses in nudes / chocolates / whites
- Heavy rain and extreme heat (all very common during the summer months where weddings falls) destroy crops and plants and supply run short

HERE IS HOW WE DO IT 👇: Imagine this - your florist didn’t randomly add a bunch of ugly foliage to “fill out” your event flowers… and they’re exactly what you asked for😱

Unlike a traditional florist, we don’t have any spare flowers on the shop floor at our 84 St Kilda Rd St Kilda studio displayed for you to choose by should you wander though… And the reason is simple: every minute a flower is on display or on the shop floor, it’s ageing.

The heat of a store, the sunlight through the window, the dust settling in the water and building up bacteria… and don’t even get me started on flowers stored on a busy footpath 😬 All of these elements are ageing the fresh cut blooms which means that you can’t enjoy them as long as you should.

So you can rest assured that we make every bouquet to order and our event flowers aren’t created from “what we had lying around” or “stuff we have to move through” - they’re specifically bought for YOU and YOUR EVENT and there is no “Ohhh what do you mean you didn’t want yellow roses? 🙄” when it comes to delivery time leaving you sick and panicked that they whole theme is now ruined.

Imagine an Amalfi florist standing in the fresh markets, looking at the images you uploaded and the flowers you requested - choosing flowers just for you!

As far as we’re concerned - you have put so much time and thought into this special occasion and spent your hard earned dollars with us with the hope that we will bring it to life for you with precision, love and care… and honestly - we LOVE to do it!

The reason we are so highly rated is because we have earned the trust of thousands of clients by doing exactly what they asked - and why wouldn’t we? It’s what you deserve!

Sept 16th (Wed, 6–8pm) it’s Modern Floral Design 101 ($350) for anyone ready to build real technique from the ground up. What my wedding babes want, my wedding babe gets — and that includes proper foundations!

Closing out the month Wed Sept 30th (6–8pm) with our Floral Table Centrepiece Masterclass ($350) — just in time to master showstopping tablescapes for your next dinner party or event.

All sessions run in our hands-on studio — a couple of hours in pure creative flow state, and you take your gorgeous creations home with you. Ask us all your burning questions while you’re at it!
