Whenever I stayed with my grandmother, Eshie, I remember smelling the pungent but pleasant scent of butter beans on the stove. Dad loved butter beans so she thought that we'd like them too. Truthfully, I didn't build a taste for them until I was much older. Still, these bring back nostalgic feelings...
