Review: What a cool little set. Initially coming in 3 pieces as you can see, the umbrella snaps easily onto the cart pole and fixes in place. You can rotate the pole so you can face the sign in different directions. The lid closes up and down as well and the cart itself is on wheels so that it can be moved around much like the vendors that roam Southbank and other places. There is some nice detail on the cart itself with 6 different ice cream flavours as well as a cup of spoons and some containers. This set also comes with a Bingo figure that so far hasn't been available with other sets and as you can see she has ice cream all over her like a typical youngster 😂. All in all I really like this set.

Fun Fact/s: This set is from the episode titled "Ice Cream". The place featured in the episode is based off Southbank in Queensland.

Buy Story: So I was walking past Sanity at the Morayfield Shops a few weeks ago and saw they were closing down and had a 50% off everything sale. Including pops. Normally a $25 pop here in Aus being a convention exclusive so I jumped at the chance to get this figure.

Review: What a great figure! Looking through the window you'd be forgiven for thinking 'hang on, how does he stand up out of the box?'. Such a cool feature, the cape holds him up. Out of box this guy is amazing. I love how they used a metallic finish for his helmet. It really elevates the figure from what is a fairly bland colour palette. I mean I know they're staying true to his colours from the comics etc but there isn't much beyond the blue and yellow, and it lacks the detail of Druig from Eternals. Box art is great, with subtle colours allowing the colours of the figure stand out, and the convention sticker adds to the overall appeal.

Fun Fact: Pierce Brosnan will be playing Doctor Fate in the upcoming Black Adam movie. Can't wait.

1996 Transformers Beast Wars Rattrap reissue.

I really like this figure. Probably more than the Cheetor one to be honest.

Another that I didn't have when I was younger, but glad to have him now for sure. I'm trying to get all the reissues for nostalgia reasons and another which I'll touch on when I review the Megatron reissue I have.

His transformation is great even though it is so simple. It's actually spring loaded, you basically unclip the tail at the base and he practically transforms himself. Very similar to the Terrorsaur figure that I did actually have growing up.

Aesthetically I enjoy him more than Cheetor, he doesn't have any weapons hanging all over the joint and I think even in robot mode he's very pleasing to the eye.

Just a couple of gripes I have with this one (at least in comparison to the Kingdom Rattrap you can see him pictured with) is that that the sides don't fold back to remove them from view like the Kingdom figure. The other one you'll see in the videos.

All in all he has decent articulation for a figure of his era though not as poseable as his counterpart. He scales well with the other Beast Wars figures of that era too which I like.

1996 Beast Wars Cheetor reissue.

The year is 1998. School finished at 3. Picked up by Mum just afterwards and the rush was on to make it home by 3:30pm when Beast Wars would start. I'm sure there are some that can relate.

Originally aired in 1996 Beast Wars was the first Transformers series to feature computer animated characters.

The two main factions of Transformers in Beast Wars are descendants of the two main factions in the original cartoon: the Maximals, led by Optimus Primal are the descendants of the Autobots and the Predacons, led by Megatron are the descendants of the Decepticons.

The cast is varied and throughout the series new pods would be discovered which would contain new additions to each faction. That was probably my favourite part. Waiting to see who would join what side and the form they would take on.

I never got this figure as a kid so was definitely glad to get it into the collection. Originally released to Big W, it was way too expensive so I passed on it, but they must have come to their senses and priced it like a normal deluxe so I couldn't pass up adding some nostalgia to the collection.

On to the review. This is the Beast Wars Deluxe Cheetor which was reissued in 2021, 25 years after its original release.

Not sure what to make of the figure to be honest. It has decent articulation for a figure of its age but it also falls prey to being a transformer of the 90's. Simple transformation, and aesthetically not being able to keep up with the character design of the show. They do a decent enough job don't get me wrong, but robot mode is where this one let's me down. The cheetah head just gets in the way of everything. If that wasn't as prominent I'd like this one a lot more.

Articulation wise he's only really lacking feet mobility. He's sturdy on his feet and not top or back heavy at all. Poseability is what you would expect from a figure that shows its age. Which you'll see when I compare him to the more recently released Transformers Kingdom Cheetor figure.

All in all, glad to have this one as part of my Beast Wars reissue collection. I love that it came in the retro packaging too, was a shame to crack it open in that regard.

Had these guys in the background for my recent Blue Eyes Toon Dragon review and couldn't help but show these off too.

One of my favourite sets of pops that I own.

These 4 I bought new back in 2015 when they came out following the release of Daredevil on Netflix. I was recently adding my pops to the funko app and it turns out these guys are worth a few dollars, so I decided to grab some protectors while I was out toy hunting the day I got my Eternals pops.

Because they're in the protectors I didn't want to take them out (I've never taken these guys out of the boxes either) in case I damaged them.

A seriously cool set which captures Matt Murdock as the maksed vigilante, Daredevil and of course just regular old lawyer Matt. The Wilson Fisk pop is also an excellent addition being his main antagonist in the series.

These 4 pops are now vaulted too. For those unsure of what that means, they're no longer in production by funko and whilst there may be new versions of the figures these exact ones won't be re-released.

My favourite hands down is the Matt Murdock one. Which one is yours?

Also, forgive the ring light reflection, the protectors reflect it more than just the normal boxes. I tried to make sure the phone reflection wasn't too bad.

This was a bitter-sweet moment for me. Running out of space on my Bluey shelves so I needed to either make more room or open some of the figures/sets to make more room that way.

So I decided to do some openings, and reviews and we start with possibly my favourite of them all.

The Heeler 4WD Family Vehicle, as its show on the box.

This one comes with a few separate pieces including the car itself, Bandit, 2 surf boards and some stickers that you can use to decorate the back seats with the kids toys as if they're taking a lot of stuff with them on a holiday. I think that's a super nice touch.

The mechanical aspect of the figure and car are quite simple. For the figure, both arms swivel and the bottom of the torso sits and stands, and the tail swivels as well. For the car both axles allow the wheels to move. You can swivel the side mirrors. The surfboards can attach to the roof. The coolest part is that you can pop the roof all the way open to fit the family in. My only gripe is that it's a bit fiddly to get them into the car, but it's not too bad. Another cool feature is that the seats have holes to fit their tails so they sit snugly in the car, and I think the number plate is a nice touch as well.

All in all a great set. If you want to fill the car with the rest of the Heeler family you'll need to get other sets. But that isn't a problem for me 😂.

I posted the other day about the Yu-gi-oh! pops I had in my collection and how i was saying I'd love to collect the others but they're a bit more scarce these days.

Well little did I know that they released this gem of a figure last year to coincide with Yu-Gi-Oh!'s 25th anniversary.

This one absolutely takes the cake for me as my favourite of the ones I have so so.

Blue Eyes Toon Dragon. He features in the show as a card that Pegasus plays involving the Toon World spell card that turns cards into toon versions of themselves that he uses against his opponents.

This figure is a special edition figure, which is also metallic. He is absolutely sublime. He encapsulates the toon version of his counterpart with more animated like features including cheeky grin and claws. The thing I love most about this figure (and I wouldn't have known had I not unboxed to review) is that the stand he is on is actually the Toon World book from the spell and rather than funko leaving it blank on the bottom it is actually a finished part of the figure too, and you can see the castle in the back that reminds you of one of those fairy tale pop ups which is also a great touch. Excellent addition to the collection.

For those that know me, I'm a huge fan of the show Bluey.

I relate to it like no other show. It's so typically Australian. The dialogue, the setting, the characters. It has so much heart, and quite often gets you emotional because behind the fun and humour of the show, lies something so relatable on a personal level.

But I digress.

I have amassed quite the collection of Bluey toys. Besides some standalone figures, it's the collection I'm most proud of. But I'm running out of room on my shelves, and there are more figures coming out I plan on getting. So I'm going to do some openings/unboxings to make room and thought I would showcase them as well.

With the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel on console, pc and phones over the last couple of days I thought it would be fitting to review the 3 pops I have from the iconic TV series.

For those unfamiliar (and I'm sure there aren't many) Yu-Gi-Oh! tells the tale of Yugi Mutou, a timid young boy who loves all sorts of games, but is often bullied around. One day, he solves an ancient puzzle known as the Millennium Puzzle, causing his body to play host to a mysterious spirit with the personality of a gambler. From that moment onwards, whenever Yugi or one of his friends is threatened by those with darkness in their hearts, this other Yugi shows himself and challenges them to dangerous Shadow Games which reveal the true nature of someone's heart, the losers of these contests often being subjected to a dark punishment called a Penalty Game. Whether it be cards, dice, or role-playing board games, he will take on challenges from anyone, anywhere.

The first of the 3 characters is Maximillion Pegasus, the president of Industrial Illusions and the creator of the game of Duel Monsters which the tv series features heavily around. Blue Eyes White Dragon and Red Eyes Black Dragon are cards that are played in the game.

I really enjoy this pop. The colours are spot on and from the front he is quite detailed. From his immaculate suit to the cards he is holding to the Millennium Eye you can see there as well. All in all a great figure.

The second is Red Eyes Black Dragon. This figure is quite large in stature and very well crafted. Again very detailed and in terms of capturing his essence as the more imposing of the 2 dragons I think they nailed it. In terms of paint apps under the light he doesn't look as black as I would like but beyond that, no complaints.

Lastly, and my favourite of the 3, Blue Eyes White Dragon. Less ferocious in pop form than his red eyed counterpart and more intricate in sculpt he is really something. Not having taken these guys out of the box before you don't really appreciate all the minute details that go into them. Scales, wings, head sculpt all really excellent. Colours are spot on. He certainly stands better than Red Eyes too which is a bonus.

I really do enjoy all 3 of the figures and would love to add more to the collection but they are scarce these days and with that comes added cost on the market.

Thena is a member of a community of the genetically-engineered Eternals, created at the World Forge by the Celestials, who came to Earth in 5000 B.C. to help progress Earth's societal development and protect it from the Deviants.

Thena's backstory becomes more apparent as the movie progresses. After aiding in the advancement of another planet her memory was wiped, then she was sent to Earth with nine other Eternals in 5000 BC for the same goal, with the mission to exterminate the Deviants first. During her time living in Ancient Greece, she became known as the protector of Athens and was incorporated into their mythology as Athena. After recalling traumatizing memories of Centuri-Six's destruction in a Mahd Wy'ry incident, Thena departed with Gilgamesh to live in self-imposed exile in Australia.

I had the choice of this version of her pop or the standard version holding a two handed weapon. I chose this one because I felt like this one better displayed her prowess as a warrior. I may pick up the other one at some point and if so I'll do a side by side comparison of them both. I really enjoy this pop. From the flowing blonde hair, to the cosmic swords which glitter in the light. Her colour scheme is spot on and she looks like an armoured warrior goddess. They did a great job with this pop.

This version of the pop as you can see is a special edition. I believe if you are from overseas it would be a Walmart exclusive (at least according to the funko app).

Phastos is a member of a community of the genetically-engineered Eternals, created at the World Forge by the Celestials, who came to Earth in 5000 B.C. to help progress Earth's societal development and protect it from the Deviants.

Phastos is the inventor of the group. He guided and progressed many technological innovations throughout the course of human history, but fell into a state of dejection after the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, which resulted in monumental loss of human life. Blaming himself, he grew distant from his fellow Eternals and abandoned helping humankind.

I really like this version of the pop more so than the standard version which I will touch on below. The same glittery gold use of his ability is eye catching, and his overall colour scheme is very nice. Some nice detail like the others but not as intricate as Druig who is still my fave in terms of the suit itself.

This version of the pop as you can see is a special edition. The standard version shows him holding a different version of his tech. I believe if you are from overseas it would be a FYE exclusive (at least according to the funko app).

People were hating on the Eternals movie but I loved it, so jumped at the chance to get some of the characters today when I went on an impromptu hunt.

Was able to pick up 6 of the characters today with various vouchers I had for both Eb Games and JB Hifi.

Sersi is a member of a community of the genetically-engineered Eternals, created at the World Forge by the Celestials, who came to Earth in 5000 B.C. to help progress Earth's societal development and protect it from the Deviants.

Sersi is one of the main characters of the film and as such the movie primarily focuses on her, and her relationship within the group as well as her relationship with Ikaris. I feel like she is the most human of all the Eternals. She is compassionate, caring and loves the people of earth and doesn't want to see them destroyed during the emergence, ultimately being the earth's saviour by stopping it. But at what cost we are yet to find out.

She has the ability to transmute non-sentient objects. She can turn wood into water for example. Her powers get displayed a lot in the movie, doing different things, sole quite amazing, and you get the feeling she doesn't realise just how powerful she is.

I am a little disappointed with this figure to be honest. Not why you think though. She is quite top heavy due to the volume of hair and as such without the stand from the Makkari pop (because she didn't come with one) I wouldn't have been able to keep her upright. That being said the figure itself is quite nice. A little plain in terms of suit design unlike Druig for example, but overall I still enjoy it.

Also as promised, I've included a pic with her and the Sprite pop too so you can see that sprite is a little smaller in size.
